of course joseph changed it to 3 angels
because it is written elsewhere that 3 angels appeared to abraham, but then again, at one place it says god came then too. can you find it?

Yes, it was correctly done. Why? God is not an angel.

Yes, Genesis 18:2 says there were 3. In verse 22 it says that they (all 3 of them) went to Sodom.

Yes, in 18:1 God appeared to Abraham, just before the 3 angels visited him. Later in chapter 18, Abraham has a conversation with the Lord as the 3 angels are on their way to destroy Sodom, trying to convince the Lord to avert the destruction.

Joseph's change here (as in all other places) makes perfect sense and clears up some really baffling Biblical inconsistencies.

Sadly, the Mormons have misconstrued the Scriptures to a great degree. They only accept portions of the Bible that fit the teachings from the Book of Mormon. The Bible is quite clear in Revelation 22:18-19 that NO ONE is to add or take-away from the original writings of the Bible. They have done a great injustice by adding their Book of Mormon to their philosophy and teachings. And they do discredit the Bible in many areas.
