I got my industrial piercing a week ago. I know it is still in the tender, sore stage of healing. However, since I have gotten it, it has alternated "good" days and "bad" days. For instance, yesterday it didn't bother me at all, but today it is achy and extra tender. Is this a normal part of healing? I am caring for it exactly as I should.

Yes, the bar is implant grade surgical steel.

Chances are that it was caught in your sleep, I did it a lot with mine. When it gets achy just avoid touching it at all, really be careful. Its normal, but at the same time you do want to keep it less aggrovated if possible.
Clean daily and only move the bar when cleaning, and make sure that you dont touch it with dirty fingers.
Hope that helps

Yes it's normal. When I got my cartilage pierced, it did the same thing. Sometimes I would be fine, but then other days not so much. Plus if you use hair products be careful not to get any in the opening because that can delay the healing process.

I have a really old piercing that suddenly flared up. I washed it three times a day with antibacterial soap and it cleared up in about a week. Hopefully your earring or whatever doesn't have any nickle in the metal. You could be allergic to it. You need stainless surgical steel.

Yeah that's perfectly normal. When I had mine done it was exactly like that... and I've had my industrial over 3 years and it's all healed up and it did fine. Just baby it, you'll have good and bad days... some days it'll hurt really bad others you'll forget it's there.

Alcohol & peroxide are too harsh. They kill the coolest bacteria that's attempting to heal the piercing. It only prolongs the healing technique. only considering which you had no subject concerns using it does not make it a good aftercare product. The bottle flat out says it incredibly is no longer for puncture wounds.
