I would like to know if i were to file today how much I would get back (i know i cant file today anyways since i dont have my w2 yet but i'm just looking for a guestimation.) I am married I claim married but withold at a single rate and I claim 0 depends for all my tax info. My net YTD pay is $13595.76 and my Gross YTD pay is 14519.01. My total taxes taken out are 3323.27. How much should I get back?

I will be filing jointly. I forgot about that fact.. i'm just trying to figure out how much i would be by myself. My YTD salary is $14519.01 and YTD taxes w/h is 3323.27 so My NET YTD is aprox. $11195.74

Do you have kids? If not, you won't get that much money back.

Does your spouse have any income? If so there's no way to answer your question without knowing HIS numbers also.

If that's your total joint income and he doesn't have an income, then you'll get pretty much everything back that's withheld for federal income tax.

Something is wrong with your math though. If your gross YTD is 14510.01 and your net YTD is 13595.76, your total deductions would only be 923.25

Are you filing separately or jointly? Obviously your husbands financials will matter in the latter case.

Something doesn't quite add up here though. You claim that your total tax withholdings is greater than the difference between your net and gross. How is that?

Also, by total taxes withheld, do you mean federal, state, and FICA or just federal? Based on the information you provided your federal taxes for 2007 would be about $500.
