What is the best bar soap to use for dry skin?

I don't like to buy Dove because most of it melts in the shower. My daughter has really bad exema so a good soap for dry skin is really important. Any advice?

i use castille soap it is made of PURE olive oil and keeps you skin soft and shiny(and natural ingredients)
they sell it in supermarkets and drug stores
about $3 but lasts a long time and well worth it( kis my face brand)
there are more expensive brands but this one does the job nicely

Use Aveeno baby wash/shampoo. It smells like heaven, and is so mild. I use it on my face. It is the only thing I use with perfumes, but is very mild anyway.

Otherwise, don't buy anything that has alcohol or perfumes/fragrances in it. That is the secret with eczema....has her doc put her on any other medication?

As for a bar soap, my dermatologist swears by a brand called "DERMALAB". You can get it through mail order at a place called Benet's Pharmacy...there are a few in Cincinnati, OH. They'll send it to you if you call them.

Otherwise, Dermalab also makes the "SKIN" brand of products that are sold nationally in grocery stores. Go with that if you don't want to call benets, or buy BASIS soap, which is a little harder to find, but excellent bar soap for skin sensitivity.

Make sure she lubricates her skin with a good moisturizer...Eucerin has no perfumes and was recommended to me by my dermatologist.

For facial moisturizers, I use Clinique total turnaround cream, alternating with Clinique moisturizing GEL (in a yellow tube).

Liquid bath soap is the best one. Buy the one that has moisturizer in it. I've been using a liquid soap for a long time now and I have a very nice skin texture.

i use coconut shower cream from the body shop. it's soap-free creamy cleansing with moisturizing coconut oil.
