Hoosier Daddy: LOL, that is funny. However, in all seriousnesss, if computers had existed then Christ and the Apostles would have used them. What better way to preach the gospel to the whole world as a witness against it?

Primora 19: Christ died about 30 years or so before the last Apostle (John) did. That was adequate time to name a bridge after Him. Think an study a bit more deeply.

I AGREE WITH PAGE! and I think you have asked a valid question LONE RANGER. It amazes me the lack of knowledge people have. Continuously being deceived thinking it's just an "innocent" holiday that celebrates Christ. One here even went as far to say "you can't name a bridge after a president..." Christmas is allegedly supposed to be the day Christ was born, hence the name "CHRISTmas" however, if you truly study the bible, the day Christ was born, was not in the winter months...but I won't get into details of that. KNOWBIBLE quoted a text from Jeremiah: "Jeremiah 10:1-8,11 = "Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you..." It is incredible how God states things CLEARLY in the bible, yet most people rather be OF the world. Just like worshipping on Sundays. It CLEARLY states in the 10 commandments and in many other versus throughout the bible to "rest on the sabbath for the Lord has blessed it and hollowed. 6 days you shall work, but on the 7th day (SEVENTH, not the FIRST), you nor your maidservants, manservants, etc. shall work....etc." That is just an example of how the world follows the pagan ways that were implemented many centuries ago. Many do what the majority does instead of what is clearly stated in the bible. Hence celebrating "christmas" and using "Christ birthday" as a scapegoat for doing so. The Lord says to be in the world not OF it.

Christmas is traditionally a pagan holiday that was coverted to a christian day. The day was converted to allow the predominatley pagan society at the time to more easily convert to christiantity as they could still celebrate at the same times as they would have under paganism.

I find it very worrying that most christians i speak to believe that the 25/12 is Jesus's birthday in a literal sense... i dont believe there is any harm in having a symbolic day to celebrate the birth of christ but i believe that the major denominations need to do more to educate there followers that this day is symbolic and not literal.

it somewhat is in simple terms a sort of issues that the church had co-opted to end the pagans from having their annual wintry climate Solstice pageant and the comparable component with Easter and Halloween. they actually did no longer be attentive to while Jesus replace into born and desperate that December 25 may be as solid as time and any to rejoice his start. The Catholic Church "saved" the pagan holidays by utilising injecting Jesus into them. it somewhat is a sturdy day to get which contain buddies and family individuals and supply presents even nonetheless it is likewise very annoying. for some years the holiday replace into no longer celebrated in the US and Congress has even been in consultation on Christmas Day.

Please give an example from the Bible of Christ or His followers using a computer to discuss religious doctrine.

Where in the Bible does it say that, if computers existed, the Apostles would have used them. Give a DIRECT QUOTE that SPECIFICALLY mentions computers. Otherwise, you must admit that computers are non-Scriptural and their use by Christians is NOT mandated (nor even explicitly permitted) by Scripture. Therefore, if you follow Sola Scriptura, you must stop using computers, since computers aren't Biblical.

There is none.
Christmas comes from paganism.

The heathen/pagans are the only one's that celebrated Christmas.

Jeremiah 10:1-8,11 = "Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O house of Israel: Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.
Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy name is great in might. Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee. But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities." "Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens."
As we continue on in Deuteronomy 17:3; we see this verse:
"And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded;"
Then we later see in the New Testament in Galatians 4:8-10 = "Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods. But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years."

The birth of Jesus was celebrated by the people who came to visit him in Bethlehem, but the modern holiday of Christmas was not celebrated until much more recently.

Christmas is all about Christ.......of course it wouldn't have been celebrated yet in Biblical times.

That would be the equivalent of naming a bridge after a president who hasn't died yet.
