I have an nvida geforce 7 series graphics card. And downloaded a 64 bit driver. But whenever i try to install it in my pc it says my operating system and settings is designed for 32 bit only!
Why is that happening?
In 32 bit i only can fix my screen resolution upto 1024X768.
I want to install a 64 bit driver.but how?

Your computer has to run off 64 bit. Not just a driver. If you r computer was manufactured as a 32 bit system then you can not.

A 64-bit driver doesn't mean 64-bit color. It's a driver for the 64-bit version of your operating system that would run on a 64-bit chip. If you have a 32-bit operating system, and need an updated driver just download a 32-bit driver. It will do the exact same thing.

Keep in mind that doesn't have anything to do with color. It is just two different drivers for two different operating systems. Installing the 32-bit updated driver should get you past 1024x768 unless of course you have a monitor that doesn't support higer resolutions then that.

64 bit drivers only work on the 64 bit version of Windows XP / Vista . You ONLY have a 32 bit version of Windows XP / Vista, hence the error message.

Go to the nVidia website AND select the correct OS and all will be well.

TIP: If you use an LCD monitor, it's "NATIVE" resolution may be 1024X768. DO NOT try to change it, you will damage it.

RTFM!!!
