try the auto trader website, there is a link where you can put in the age, milage, condition etc of the car along with the make and model and it will tell you the approx trade and private selling prices for the car.
if its any good for you i had an F reg 1ltr fiesta5 years ago, it had seriously low milage and excelent interior condition, just a little rust around the arches and it was worth £800 when it got stolen (thats what the insurance gave me) so if its in bad condition now it depends really.
can you actually drive it legally its not going to fall to pieces or have holes in the floor does it?
if it does try searching for the Standlake arena website in oxford, and put in an advert for sale, they might want to banger it for you and pay you for it too but i doubt you would get more than £100 for it off there.
another thing you could try, scrap metal prices are high at the moment, if you have the time and no one wants the car strip it and send it to the scrappy! any alloy wheels or catalitic converters at the moment are worth a lot too.

Go to www.parkers.co.uk they give a comprehensive valuation of your car based on mileage, age and condition for nearly every car.

Best to buy What Car magazine, it tells you of current car values.

http://www.kbb.com
or take it to your local dealership and pretend to be interested in a trade-in. Add about 25% to the offer and get an approximate selling value for it.
