i am a christian and it scares me that there r socially good ppl going to hell just becuz they did not giv there life to jesus. if jesus was (and is) alive and u lived as a "sinner" u hav lost everything! but if u lived ur life as "holy" then u have 1 every thing BUT if was non-existent and u lived ur lyf as either u hav nether lost or gained anything. so there it is better to hav loved then lost and went to hell

First, let's address the "sinner"...EVERYONE is a sinner, that is why Jesus Christ came, to seek and save the lost.
Second, "socially" good people are not Christians, unless they believe in Christ Jesus...."all that believe in me will be saved", remember the guy on the cross...he believed that second and was saved. It's a choice we as individuals make, we can choose to believe in the most powerful love, are not.
Third, The word Holy, means to set apart...each and everyday we sin, by nature...remember how Paul struggled with this..."for I do the things I shouldn't do" so, we repentance to a Loving God, and are forgiving.
Lastly....what is this ...."loved then lost and went to Hell?" Makes me think maybe you're in a relationship that is not the best for you? Seeing a married person, or maybe in a homosexual relationship....Whatever it is....take it to The Lord in prayer...He will work it out, if you listen to Him.
Why would you or anyone what to go to hell...when we have a loving God who is everything?

Morality is in step with recognition of the mores of a particular lifestyle. No lifestyle can improve without some governing regulations and in human words some are held very very nearly universally alongside with no longer killing. regardless of if, the injunction against killing could be in yet in any different case qualified with the aid of each and every lifestyle as some cultures can settle for killing of a few training or instruments of outsiders to the lifestyle. Buddhism does not have the theory of ethical yet makes use of a concept of regardless of if an action is healthy. it somewhat is it promotes sturdy psychological and actual wellbeing and wellbeing. Any action is healthy provided that the outcomes are no longer unfavorable in any experience. i do no longer think of that a stronger morality interior the experience which you recommend does exist as a regulation of nature created with the aid of something different than guy yet I do have faith that there is a ordinary decision of movements which will produce the minimum of undesirable effects on society.

OK here is an honest answer.
Read this quote carefully and be open-minded
You should live your life and try to make the world a better place for your being in it, whether or not you believe in God. If there is no God, you have lost nothing and will be remembered fondly by those you left behind. If there is a benevolent God, he may judge you on your merits coupled with your commitments, and not just on whether or not you believed in him.
OK how does that sound to you? Sounds good right? Well that's the Atheist's Wager.

If you try to live life the best that you know how you are still a sinner.
Doing what is right in our own eyes doesn't make us righteous in the eyes of God.
Only the blood of Jesus Christ can wash away our sin.
We love him because he first loved us.

I believe you are trying to ask what is known as "Pascal's Wager". Given 2 choices why not chose the safe bet. The answer is you don't have 2 choices. you have a multitude of choices. Which make the argument moot.
In the immortal words of Homer Simpson:
What if we're praying to the wrong god & we're just making him madder & madder.

Study what hell really is. Hel is the daughter of Loki. Norse mythology. A persons relationship with Yahweh thru His Son Yeshua (Jesus) will inherit eternal life. All others will inherit eternal death. Not eternal torture. Shalom.

You sound very confused....as you are questioning something other christians would never questjion. Have you considered that it might be time for you to leave christianity behind and opt for something a lot more enlightening.....look around you....its a big world out there.
I personally know christianity. That is why I am not christian. The choice is yours. But I have found something alot more enlightening than any form of christianity could possibly offer.
...or any organised religion.

What you just said is a form of Pascal's Wager. Anyone who even had a drop of moral courage would not believe in a religion out of fear of being punished if they don't. Are you a spiritual wimp or what?
Sorry, but even the threat of Hell is not going to force me to believe something that feels wrong to me. How about you?

There's this religious(Christian) book: "Heaven is so real!". I'd recommend you read it. It does go along the same lines with what you're saying.
I'm sure many people are socially good, but in all the books I've read on this so far, they say that people who do not acknowledge God/Jesus' existence go to hell. Which means I've probably got my one-way ticket there prepared.
