i hurt my back a few weeks back and i went to the hospital. its nothing serious, just a torn muscle. they gave me some muscle relaxers but nothing that seems to really help the pain. so my friend gave me a couple pain pills. the thing is, he dont know what they are and i dont want to take a pill that i dont know what it is. it is a small green pill with eight sides. my question is this, is there a site that i can go and look at pics of pills to find out what i have. please give me a link if you can. thank you all in advance for taking the time to read this question

Sounds like it is Opana ER, which is a morphine-like pain pill.

If you hurt your back a couple weeks back and you still are not over it, you need to go to the doctor and have him re examine you.
Never take pain pills from a friend if you dont know what they are. They were not prescribed for you.
One of my friends died after taking his terminally ill girlfriends narcotic pain pills. He took 2, didnt know what they were and never woke up. High price to pay for a toothache. He was only 35 yrs old.

Don't be a fool, do not take your friends medication. First of all you don't know what it is and secondly he can get in big trouble for giving it to you. He can actually go to jail. If you really want to know take it to a pharamcologist at your local pharmacy and he will identify it for you. You can also try this website http://www.drugs.com/pill_identification.html
