Seroquel is not used for this purpose. If you want to quit alcohol, I suggest switching to Librium for a while, then tapering off slowly. This minimises the withdrawals from alcohol. After you've got off of it, and you need to stay off but are getting strong cravings, I would recommend either Naltrexone (Revia) or Nalmefene (Revex). In addition, I would recommend something called Acamprol / Acamprosate (Generic: Calcium-Acetyl-Homotaurinate.) Speak to your doctor about these meds as they require a prescription. Naltrexone doesn't really block the pleasurable effects of pot so I wouldn't recommend using it for pot cravings. Acamprol would be a better bet.
You might also want to ask your doc to let you try Wellbutrin. This should give you a bit more energy whilst going through withdrawals. Quitting weed won't give you physical symtpoms, but you may experience a good deal of fatigue, in which case I recommend the Wellbutrin. Feel free to drop me a line if you need anymore help on this subject. Good luck.

I doubt that seroquel can help with this issue, as it is a drug used for psychotic disorders.
Talk with your doctor about good solutions. And if you are an alcoholic, try AA, maybe an outpatient or inpatient rehab.
Most people with addiction issues also have mental illness issues... self medication and escape

Never heard about it. Seroquel (Quetiapine) is used for treating schizophrenia.
If you want to stop drinking and smoking pot you'd better try Revia (Naltrexone). This is a narcotic antagonist that blocks the pleasurable effects of alcohol and reduces cravings.

Not sure about alcohol but marijuana is not addictive so you can not get hooked on it so you don't have to worry about that. If for whatever reason you want to stop smoking just stop.
