Faith and Works
"‘Not everyone who says to me, "Lord, Lord," shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven’" (Matt. 7:21).
"‘Why do you call me "Lord, Lord," and not do what I tell you?’" (Luke 6:46).
"For he will render every man according to his works . . ." (Rom. 2:6-8).
"For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified" (Rom. 2:13).
"For if we sin deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful prospect of judgments . . . (Heb. 10:26-27).
"What does it profit, my brethren, if a man says he has faith but has not works? Can his faith save him?" (Jas. 2:14).
"So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead" (Jas. 2:17).
"But some one will say, ‘You have faith and I have works.’ Show me your faith apart from your works, and I by my works will show you my faith. . . .Do you want to be shown, you foolish fellow, that faith apart from works is barren? (Jas. 2:18-20).
"You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone" (Jas. 2:24).
HE WHO HATES ME HATES MY FATHER ALSO. IF I HAD NOT DONE AMONG THEM WORKS SUCH AS NO ONE ELSE HAS DONE, THEY WOULD HAVE NO SIN. BUT NOW THEY HAVE SEEN, AND HAVE HATED BOTH ME AND MY FATHER;
Some body better tell Jesus he cant get to heaven with works

Ephesians 2:8
We are saved by grace...our works DO NOT by any means save us...
you can hide your talent if you want to...but why?
why not take care of poor and needy?
yes we should serve the Lord with all our hearts...why not for life...
he'll only say he never knew you...if that's the way it is...so why not make sure you know HIM!

yeah!!.. we are saved because of onli one reason.. its cause.. Jesus came down to earth and hung on the cross.. and when we call on the name of our Lord and ask Him to come into our world, our life will be changed.. we will be borned again.. we have not been saved by works.. but by faith.. :D
no.. we shld neva hide our talent.. its cause.. Jesus made each and everyone of us for good works.. Jesus gave us each talents.. big or small.. alot or little.. if we hide our talent.. its like tellling the world that the Lord has not gave u any talent.. but its not true.. with our talents we shld be a blessing unto the world around us.. :D
definitely we shld take care of the poor and needy.. Jesus went around in His ministry on earth healing the sick.. blessing.. when u are lending to the poor u are lending to the Lord.. :D
yeah.. service is a life time requirement.. definitely.. when we are born again. it is no long i who live but He who lives in mi.. :D
the Lord luvs u too much to say He neva knew u.. as long as u keep His commandments.. He will luv u.. and indeed where sin abounds.. grace abounds so much more.. :D but this doesn't mean we can go out and sin even more.. for if u luv God u will keep His commandments.. :D

Ephesians 2:8-9, "God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it."
The point is, we cannot work our way to heaven ... will have good works - not to be saved, but because we are saved. If Jesus Christ is living and dwelling in our hearts, we cannot help but have good works in our lives, doing good for others, helping those less fortunate than ourselves. Letting our light shine before men, so they will glorify our Father which is in heaven. That is true Christianity. If we are doing good for others so that we will bring glory to ourselves, then we have the wrong motive.
Also, don't forget that Jesus is going to reward us according to our works. This does not do away with grace, we are still saved by grace.

I will fail many times because I'm just a human being but...I'm trying to use my talent not to show off but so that I could help other people...
Yes, the poor and needy must be taken care of because Bible says "The King(God) will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.' "(Matthew 25:40)
I'm not sure what you mean by "service", but we better seek Him with all our hearts for the rest of our lives, sharing His love including helping others.
Yes, Lord will say He never knew you if you decide to reject Him completely.

No amount of work will obligate God to save anyone. But does that mean we can just sit back and do nothing? No.
"You see that a man is to be declared righteous by works, and not by faith alone. In the same manner was not also Rahab the harlot declared righteous by works, after she had received the messengers hospitably and sent them out by another way? Indeed, as the body without spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead." James 2:24-26

salvation is thru the shed blood of Jesus only.
Eph 2:8-9 says it is not of works
Romans 4:1-4 says Abraham was justified not by works
we cannot earn heaven we dont deserve it and cannot be good enough
WORKS DO NOT SAVE.........NEVER HAVE NEVER WILL

Yes we are only saved by Grace but once we have received God's Grace then that brings out works. So initially it is Grace and then works follow. but works do not save us but Christs blood on the cross for us

God is mainly concerned with concrete results. God wants everyone to contribute positively, to addressing the very serious problem, we have in this world. We make our own future. And, if the problems are not address, they will get even bigger, and our world will not be a very nice place to be. God, is a good and very moral God, He will treat all people, who do good things in this world fairly, no matter what they believe.
