No it doesn't It's to do with the different vitamins and fibre levels. You could eat a whole bunch of grapes but it is only something like the first 5 that count.
It needs to be 5 different pieces of fruit and/or veg.
Becareful bananas are quite binding and can cause constipation, try having a glass of fresh orange with them.

No- you need variety, 3 fruits 2 veg or any combination of both, 5 of the same fruit is not giving you what you need

Sorry! The idea is to boost our vitamin and mineral intake so variety is the key!
If you have a blender try popping in a couple of tomatoes, half a bag of mixed salad, a chunk of red pepper, banana and an apple (if your blender is powerful - you can leave in the core) a little water and whizz it all up and drink - it will give you five portions and more energy that you would think! If you can get a pack of ground linseeds and mix a tablespoon of those in too even better. If you have one of those (about a pint) every day I am sure that by day five you'll be really feeling great!

I think 5 bananas per day are a little too much. Your Potassium intake must be on overload.
I would try to vary the fruit you eat to give each of your vitamin and mineral levels a boost.
Hope this helps and have an nice day.; x

The fruit should be different as all fruit has differing nutritional values so by varying your intake of other fruits and vegetables you are more likely to get all of your daily needs.
The link below is from a site that has the nutritional ratings for loads of fruit

No, it doesn't.
'Dietary Variety' is the reason.
Very few foods are actually bad for you. A bad diet is one that contains too much of some foods, and too little of others.
The nutritional process in your body is organised around the idea of combining different nutrients, from different foods, and using them together in ways that benefit your body.
Most foodstuffs are more nutritional when combined with others that contain different nutrients. Your fruit intake should contain as many different nutrients as possible, because these need to be combined with the nutrients from other types of foods in order to be useful.

Not really, it is 5 pieces of fruit, but bananas don,t have all the vitamines you need. Diversity is really important so you can adbsorb as much nutrients as possible.

i dont think it counts as five maybe 1 or 2, i believe they mean five different types of fruit or veg as you get different nutrients from each.

First of all, I wouldn't suggest that you eat 5 bananas daily unless you want to crap a lot.
And banana is a fruit.
