My boyfriend lied about having a girlfriend when we started going out. They were in the process of breaking up but he didn't tell me, he said he was single. Now after 3 months I have uncovered his web of lies and even though he has a very soft heart and is a wonderful person, I am so angry that he lied to me. He was still sleeping with her when we started to and he says he only did it to keep her quiet because she threatened to tell me. He said he didn't want to tell me because he didn't want to lose me. When we met we didn't start going out straight away. Now that I know, he is being honest about everything now and wants to earn my trust back and he is trying very hard. He doesn't speak to his ex anymore, he said he didn't want anything to do with her anymore but now she doesn't have anything to blackmail him with. I spoke to her and she admitted that she didn't want to let him go and that she was jealous of me. He said he would never cheat again, so should I give him another chance?

Apart from this drama we have been so happy together. I love him very much and normally he is such a gentleman and so kind to me and my family. I am torn between my heart and my head.

he was not your husband that is a plus. technically you were cheating against girlfriend ..unknowingly. he no longer speaks to her..another plus. i do not like the sleeping with her and you... but that was three months ago. he is good in all other ways. i would forgive but keep my eyes open.

Forgive him, seems from what you said that he really cares for you, he only did this in the beginning before you two really had a commitment, he may have been confused and just finding out how much he cares for you. Good luck and best wishes.

Forget it it's the past. Put it behind you both.
Don't let that ruin what you have found in each others heart.
Love him like there's no tomorrow and he will reciprocate and love you all the more.
Start from right this minute and don't look back, he's your now!
kiss and make up.

Wow,
He reaaaaaaaally messed up. If you love him and will be miserable without him and if he loves you and you're sure that he will never, ever, ever pull any more bull crap for the rest of his life, forgive him and put it behind you. But be aware of his potential for deception and if he even takes one small step that way, slam him hard and either keep him honest or dump him.

The point is not if you can forgive him...Because you can give him another chance. Although that doesn't guarentee he won't do it again. The point is can you trust him? That is giving him another chance and realizing the opportunity to do it again is there and the possibility he might take it.

Don't be a sap. If he lied to you about something this important once, he'll do it again...and again...and again. Better to cut your losses now before he sleeps with someone that has a nasty surprise that you end up with.

I'd forgive (and forget too.)
Look forward, not back.
Start from now.
