I desire a connection with God, how do you attain this?
Or should I write, how do you personally think you attain a strong connection with God.
- If you even believe it possible that is.

Isolation works. Live apart from other human beings for two weeks. Many people have, the mystics did.
--------------------
Learn to live in the woods. Learn to camp. Load up some food and camping equipment, decide a good time of year (mid-Spring is perfect), find an isolated valley in a nearby National Park and hike in. Bring your camera. Appreciate the natural world - two weeks with Nature will teach you much about God, yourself, and your fellow man.

Some programs offer opportunities like this. You might want to do this with a friend, but separate yourselves so that you can't see or hear each other, like opposite sides of a high hillside, or separated by a wide valley. Agree only to signal like with different colored flags, or number of flags, at a set time in a way that means everything is okay, and that a different signal, like a whistle, means some sort of emergency.
--------------------------
Good luck! I've met my faith in God several times while hiking, living alone... It's very rare, but what moments of, I guess it's called, "exultation" or "peak-experience" passed over me... Words don't matter at that point nor nowadays, nor does any church service. Faith is what became important, not attendance or communion with others.

Your faith is between You and God.

It's YOUR faith, not anybody else's. Keep it that way.

Heb.11:1 ''Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,
the evidence of things not seen''.

Bible Study will give an understanding of this verse.
A quick fix(answer) in this forum is not the way to connect.

A connection with God is a very personal affair, and is not gained by attending church regularly, or appearing to the outside world as the Pharisees once did.

If you really want a connection then ask for it.

Math 7:7 Ask and it shall be given you, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you.

Hope this helps.

Yes, I know it is possible. You are right, it grows slowly like a plant, but also strongly like an oak tree. It takes time, effort, patience and persistence. First put his 'seed' in your heart. I suggest that reading the gospel of John through thoughtfully would be a good way to begin. Pray on your own to Jesus about your life and about what you're reading. Where you are able to, make some changes for the better in what you do and in what you think. We expect miracles from God, not from ourselves, hence don't expect to be able to make huge changes right away. As soon as you start taking steps along these lines, you have begun a journey and Jesus will reveal himself to you as you go along.
Don't believe anyone who tells you it is easy, or that you can achieve anything instantaneously. Question everything and politely ask people to explain why they believe certain things. You also need to understand that there will be a cost to you personally. This world is no friend of God. As soon as you start your journey toward him, you will start to meet resistance. This is normal and it means you are making progress. Try to befriend others making the same journey. Godspeed!

You have to believe that Jesus is who he says he is, if you can't do that then reading the Bible will become boring and you will quit. And you will eventually loose your desire to Pray. The Bible says Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17, Read it and Believe it. Don't let satan drag you away, don't become like a ship on the ocean with no rudder, satan is a liar and the father of it and he will work hard to pull you down. Refuse to lose. Draw nigh unto God and he will draw nigh unto you. Resist the devil and he will flee, invoke the name of Jesus on him and he will have to go. Remember as a Christian you have the Spiritual Authority to put satan on the run, Believe it and use it. May God grant you the desires of your heart, only in the Lord!!!

Your heart and mind must be open and you must start by repenting for any bad actions you have done or are doing in the present. It is really an inner thing that only you can do. Try and live a life as God would have wanted you - follow his commandments and be good to others. Prayer is important, but more than this, being a good person true to yourself and others is more important than this. I didn't believe for years, but always knew some higher power was there. Meditation is a good way to help - reflect on your good and bad deeds and make yourself a good person.

Well, in my personal experience it's to seek after him.Read his word, apply it in your life until it sinks into your heart, his word never comes back void.Pray and fast about it.It says God knows those will diligently seek after him, he knows those who love him.If you've accepted Jesus Christ into your life you have made the biggest step! You also have the Holy Spirit now.The Holy Spirit is our connection with God.He is also known as the Spirit of truth and error in the bible.I'm sure you have heard him many times even if you didn't realize it, he tells us things like OOoo...don't do that, or sometimes if you meet someone and you feel like I really need to tell this person...God loves You...it can be lots of different things like that. So, just read, pray, fast you will achieve a stronger faith and understanding of who God is and also who YOU are in Christ. Also, let me just tell you that satan will try his best to talk you out of any close relationship with God, he knows if you get close to God there will be no chance for him to control you, so when your studying and listenening to your Spirit remember that.Because he will try to talk you out of every blessing God wants to give you. He'll come in your mind and say awww that's just you thinking that or you can't hear the Holy Spirit but, you stand strong in your faith and soon you'll rebuke satan and he'll cut out running.........lol and then pretty soon he'll try to send some bad thing your way and it won't be able to even come near you you'll have so much of God's protection. God Bless You and Have a Wonderful Journey!

Surrender completely to God. Read your Bible daily and pray that God will help you understand it's words. Pray continuously during the day. Try and maintain constant fellowship with God. Join a GOOD local church. Don't try and go through the motions each day, actually mean what you are doing and DESIRE to have a relationship with GOD!!!

You do not grow faith in God.Your faith in God already exists. You have just like all of us forgotten. When we came through the portal of life, our memories of our connection with god and our true self were erased. It is up to each one of us to reconnect and realise 'We are all One'.On the 11th of November, we are offered an opportunity to reconnect and re-remember. At 11am and 11pm be still for a while and simply with intent connect with the oneness of all in God.

if you want to grow a better connection with god... with all honesty. Only read sections of the bible that would be considered critical reading. Listen and follow exactly to what other people in the religion you choose say or do.

"Do not" read the bible cover to cover.
"Do not" try using logic to understand faith, god, history, science, biology and religion.

These will only lead you to atheism, agnosticism, or deism
