they like the feeling of their gum's being numb.
They should be putting on their gums not their teeth... Unless they are a bunch of followers.

The high from smoking cocaine may last from 5 to 10 minutes. The high from snorting or Insufflation (known colloquially as "snorting," "sniffing," or "blowing) can last much longer from 15-20 min.

Cocaine has been used medically and informally as an oral anesthetic. Many users rub the powder along the gum line, or onto a cigarette filter which is then smoked, which numbs the gums and teeth - hence the colloquialnames, "numbies"; "gummies"; or "cocoa puffs" for this type of administration. This is mostly done with the small amounts of cocaine remaining on a surface after insufflation. Another oral method is to wrap up some cocaine in rolling paper and swallow it. This is sometimes called a "snow bomb."
In addition, orally administered cocaine takes approximately 30 minutes to enter the bloodstream. Due to the slow absorption by ingestion; onset of maximum physiological and psychogical effects are sustained for approximately 60 minutes after their peak is attained.

Cocain is cut with lidocain which gives the numbing effect. It is actually thought that the numbing tells the potency of the coke but this is not true.

They either feel alienated and want to belong, but think they are misunderstood, and this is their way of suicide, (but without having the guts to do it quickly), OR they have actually, convinced themselves that a poison leaf (that someone in South America pours gasoline on and stomps with filthy bare diseased feet, to get the white powder to separate) is okay to sniff and eat, because it excites them. They convince themselves that its a sexual boost, but actually its just the speeding metabolism period, nothing else..any thoughts of aphrodisiac could have been induced equally by their own (naughty) thought focus. The horrible thing about cocaine (as opposed to other stimulants and I am not condoning anything here) is no matter how much one does, they are fooled into thinking more will make them feel better, even though they increasingly become alienated, misery deep depressed as they continue to try to distract themselves with this heart attack cycle. They have done experiments with monkeys, giving them a clear liquid food bottle, which they drink when hungry...but as soon as they introduce the cocaine (also clear liquid form, in exact same type bottle) and the monkey tastes it only once, the monkey will only do the cocaine, (never touching the food again) over and over until its heart explodes. Sounds like fun?!? no thanks! and whats up with the heroin, or oxycotyn...sounds like a real party time laying around half asleep drooling on yourself, puking, sh!ts yer pullups, scratching and babbling incoherantly.

It's not their teeth, it's their gums.
The gums are very absobant. They are trying not to waste any of the powder that is left on their fingers.

hm.... lol not everybody does that... maybe because if it is really good u cant feel ur teeth... and maybe it feels good to them to touch their teeth then.
