Honey I think they are up there making their own money from some golden plates that no one knows about. How in the world could our tax dollars being paying their salary! Dang they get as much when they retire as they do when they are full blown working. They don't need us or our money. Nope, their on their own hill on their own island.

Don't confuse our tax dollars with wealth in Washington! That is not true at all! The wealth in Washington comes from the pockets of lobbyists and special interest groups! The only tax dollars that Congress knows or cares about are their paychecks (which THEY determine) and the pork that lines their constituencies in the form of earmarks in the budget process.

And if you think that there's any "wealth" in DC itself, think again. There's a "Dogbone of Security & Serenity" from The White House to The Capitol but drive around much of the rest of the city at 2:00 AM on a Saturday morning and you'll see a very different picture.

I truly believe tax dollars are perceived by politicos as "funny money," since they are presented with billions and billions to spend...not save, Remember, all politicians will feast on pork at the end of the day to appease those they are beholden to, and that unfortunately isn't the hard-working people trying to make ends meet each month throughout the nation.
