Yep. We both feel sorry for each other. It would suck to be Christian.

I did know that.
I also knew that in the Old Testament, it is considered correct to stone a woman to death for not being a virgin on her wedding night.
I don't really believe that, either.
I think of satanists the same way I think of Christians. They believe in sky fairies. They have no proof, other than a few testimonies. Big deal!

My typical response to the first half of that Bible quote is the following:
The fool has said in his mind, "Bible quotes are wisdom."
The last half of that Bible quote proves just how inaccurate Bible quotes can be. Of all the people I know, the most abominable deeds were all committed by the Christians.

If an atheist is a fool, you wonder just how bad the Christian must be... at least the atheist isn't playing Make Belive as an adult.

I don't think that them thinking we are fools is quite as bad as them thinking we've all done some abominable secret deeds.

nope, you're talking about biblical literalists who think that that verse is more important than matthew 5:22 "Whosoever shall say Thou fool, shall be in danger of hellfire." i'm not particularly bothered about being called a fool by those who don't even know what's in the book they claim to follow.

I really couldn't care less about what's thought of me by one who believes an invisible sky god zapped the universe into existence and will reward us with eternal life in a cloud palace if we live our lives raping and killing as his "holy book" commands.

No, that is what the Bible says.
However, not a lot of christians have beliefs in line with what the bible says chapter-and-verse, so it does not bother me.
