Pesticides contain DDT.
Suppose if a farmer sprays DDT on a crop then a grasshopper feeds on it The Grasshopper is eaten up by frog , the frog is eaten up by snake and the snake is finally eaten by Eagle or any other apex carnivore.
In this food chain, the DDT accumulation in each level gets increased.
A human being can also be the apex carnivore.
Thus it can cause not only cancer but many other diseases in human beings

For the most part the answer is no. Pesticides as well as being a necessary part of modern agriculture and the high productivity that allows for lowered land usage (and thus lowered environmental impact) are extensively tested on animals and monitored carefully so that if any of them are causing cancer in humans they get pulled and replaced by something that isn't.
Every so often a scare breaks about pesticides (and the people running so called 'organic' farms are quite happy to profit on the hysteria) and usually turns out to be baseless. In cases where there is basis for banning a pesticide it's been banned (or just phased out of use) long ago.
Except in the 'organic' farming industry that is which still uses pesticides known to be dangerous or bad for the environment (and uses a lot of other crap no one has even tested but is assumed harmless because it is natural and well tobacco is natural and completely harmless (or maybe being natural doesn't mean something is harmless)).
And I'd really like to know where the idiots who say that pesticides contain DDT get their ideas from, DDT hasn't been used for decades.
Besides, there were pesticides before DDT and there are still pesticides after the banning of DDT (though genetic engineering will reduce our need for pesticides).

Pesticides contain DDT and other harmful chemicals.
Suppose if a farmer sprays DDT on a crop then a grasshopper feeds on it. The Grasshopper is eaten up by frog , the frog is eaten up by snake and the snake is finally eaten by Eagle or any other apex carnivore.
In this food chain, the DDT accumulation in each level gets increased. This is called BIO-MAGNIFICATION. Soon this food chain extends to such an extent that we humans ingest these pesticides. We may also ingest them through food and crops we eat as the pesticides may reach those crops through the groundwater which has pesticides as the plants suck the water from soil by its roots.
A human being can also be the apex carnivore.
Now, this DDT causes many problems in humans as throat irritation, respiratory problems, stomach ache and headache depending on the place where the DDT is deposited. Thus, to avoid and counter attack these symptoms and problems of DDT, our body produces many more cells in the bone marrow and this excessive production of cells may cause cancer, especially blood cancer and cancer in throat.
Thus it can cause not only cancer but many other diseases in human beings

Cancer is a statistical disease, which means that if you expose a large number of people to a contaminant, for example a type of pesticide, and over several years this group of people will have significantly more cancer cases then the general population, this contaminants could be declared cancerous.
Such was the case with the DDT pesticide, that was found to increase cancer, especially in children , after it was used extensively on people to prevent skin diseases and skin pests.
I believe that any material that humans have not been used to be exposed to, over many thousands of years, could increase cancer, that was the case of food colors, so pesticides are much higher on the danger scale.

Children have been found to be especially susceptible to the harmful effects of pesticides.A number of research studies have found higher instances of brain cancer, leukemia and birth defects in children with early exposure to pesticides, according to the Natural Resources Defense Council.
Peer-reviewed studies now suggest neurotoxic effects on developing animals from organophosphate pesticides at legally-tolerable levels, including fewer nerve cells, lower birth weights, and lower cognitive scores. The EPA finished a 10 year review of the organophosphate pesticides following the 1996 Food Quality Protection Act, but did little to account for developmental neurotoxic effects, drawing strong criticism from within the agency and from outside researchers.
Some scientists think that exposure to pesticides in the uterus may have negative effects on a fetus that may manifest as problems such as growth and behavioral disorders or reduced resistance to pesticide toxicity later in life.
A new study conducted by the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston, has discovered a 70% increase in the risk of developing Parkinson’s disease for people exposed to even low levels of pesticides.
One study found that use of pesticides may be behind the finding that the rate of birth defects such as missing or very small eyes is twice as high in rural areas as in urban areas.Another study found no connection between eye abnormalities and pesticides.
Pyrethrins, insecticides commonly used in common bug killers, can cause a potentially deadly condition if breathed in.

Canada uses 110 million pounds of those products a year. The US may be 10 times that?
All of this junk is not only causing cancers, it is poisoning newborns. How does a baby that has never taken a breath get banned pesticides inside them? Go to http://www.thermoguy.com and scroll down to the picture of the fetus, click on the study.
Mom drank it, ate it and not knowing her baby doesn't have the immune system to deal with the toxins. I asked doctors what the toxins mean and they said a fetus would be in a 911 crisis from conception.
Would you honestly go to the store and buy this stuff, drink it or feed it to your pets, babies? What would happen to fish in tanks if we give them a little pesticides every day?
Email me and I will refer you to a company in Texas using a natural product...or there are many products that can be used. Ask questions of the professionals in here with plant backgrounds. I use my professional because natural first because I don't want to consume that other garbage.

Not exactly cancer, but there are cases of farmers comitting suicide by consuming liquid pesticides and dying almost instantly. Pesticides may cause cancer but it takes a long time. By not washing food items properly, the residues of pesticides stay on the food item and you may consume small amounts of it

I'm not sure, as I have not done any research on the subject, but, if you haven't read it already, I recomend reading the book "Silent Spring" by Rachel Carson. It is an amazing book about the uses of DDT in pesticides.
