My dear, Hitler was a primary cause of WWII.
Hitler's rise to power began shortly after the end of WWI (1919). Germany was in shambles due to harsh reparations due to the Allies, specifically France. The very harsh treatment accorded to Germany made many Germans angry, and put their economy in disarray. Hitler drew on this anger and put his own spin on it. He was involved in a plot to overthrow the gov't, and jailed. Here is where he developed his plan for National Socialism (aka the Nazi Party). During the 20's his power grew, and with it his supporters. Hitler began to point out that many problems in Germany were as a result of the Jews - antisemitism was very popular in the 20's in Europe. He began to blame all of Germany's ills on Jews and the treatment by the Allied powers.
His power grew so strong that he was appointed Chancellor (aka Prime Minister) by aging President Paul von Hindenburg. Shortly thereafter, Hitler took full power and converted the German republic into the Nazi German State (1933). From here, Hitler was full leader (Furher) of the nation. His rallies led to terror against the Jews, remilitarization in violation of the terms of the end of WWI, Anschluss with Austria (union of the two nations), and eventually the invasion of Poland in 1939 that began WWII.
Good luck on your paper or project.

Hitler was a dictator before World War 2. He actually became Chancellor of Germany in 1933 by legal means but he quickly established a dictatorship by suspending civil liberties (effected in February 1933). Claiming that the country was under threat from a communist conspiracy, he invoked the emergency provisions of the constitution which restricted free movement and speech of citizens. This was called the Ordinance for the Protection of the People and the State and remained in effect until 1945. In 1934, Hitler succeeded Hindenburg as Head of State. This allowed him to pass any laws, even those which contravened the constitution, a development that destroyed German parliamentarianism. Hitler then proceeded to centralise all state functions in a process called Gleichschaltung (Coordination). As a part of this, the National Socialist Party became the only lawful political organisation in the country. Thus, Hitler firmly established a dictatorship in the years preceding the second world war.

What a vague question. Any particular event of WW2 that you would like clarification on? Are you looking for the economics or political or world view...throw us a bone here. Germany invaded Poland in 1939 that pretty much involved all of europe as the Blitzkreig strated to sweep through Europe the countries that were part of the League of Nations began to mobilize to assist with the other nations involved. The blitzkreig then changed directions from going towards russia to sweeping Belgium and France. the French and the English retreated to Dunkirk where in a miracle the Brits were rescued by their countrymen. the US was still hiding her head in the sand being isolationist and supplying aid. December 1941 the Japanese who were an ally of the Germans decided it was time to attack the US and destroy her pacific fleet. They mostly succeeded with a sneak attack at Pearl Harbor, but as a japanese admiral was quoted as saying "I am afraid we have woken a sleeping giant." The US war machine went into high gear and instead of just sending aid we started sending troops and equipment. War was pretty much declared by all interested parties with the Russians switching sides. Does that help at all?

He became dictator before WWII then started it by invading Czechoslovakia and Poland. He died during the last year of battle by suicide in a bunker in Berlin as the Russians and Americans were bombing his city to the ground and raising their flag upon his Parliament.
