This isn't correct. First, God being all knowing he knew that eve would eat the apple. So, he set them up for the fall. God cannot be surprised. Second, the snake is NOT satan. This is a story that was retroactively applied as an explanation for sin. There is no text in the bible that indicates the snake is satan. It is only implied. God curses the snake to wriggle on its belly for eternity. But there is never any connection in any part of the bible to plainly state that the snake is satan or was sent by satan. The snake is a snake. Nothing more.

As the story goes I don't remember anyone playing with a snake. OK The snake didn't bite anyone. Like why even have the garden ? Why have a tree with nice fruit if they weren't supposed to eat it?
You are trying to make sense out of a myth. It's like asking why did Goldie Locks eat the Papa bears porrage first?

what are you talking about? God never let Adam and Eve play with a snake. you obviously never read the bible. Lucifer used the snake to convince Eve to eat the forbidden fruit and give some to Adam.

It's just a story. It has metaphors and similes, alliteration and allegory. You know, like the story of Pinochio, except no-ones nose get bigger, they just get chucked out of a garden with a snake in it. Would you want to try and start the human race with a snake in your garden. If you do not answer truthfully your nose may engorge and expand.

Don't know about you, but my mom taught me how to pick up snakes as a kid - so I always played with snakes, and not a single one offered me anything to eat or did anything of real interest besides wrap itself around my arm.

first of all GOD did not let them play with a snake, second in that time animals were all friendly remember that it was supose to be like in heaven, third this is not about a snake, an apple, etc. it was about obedience, they were supose to obey what GOD said, just like today if your father tells you. don't play with fire and you do what's gona happen to you , you'll get burned, GOD told eve not to eat the apple and she disobeyed , you get it.

Your making the mistake thinking God sent the snake. The devil was the one that used the snake. Put the blame where it belongs and it was not God's fault..

When you are talking about God, their is alot of difference in between the greatness of God and the greatness of a father. God let them ply because He wants us to learn a lesson from that scenario, that was the period of learning for all of us. but if a father let his kid to play with a snake, that will be his fault.
Hope you get the difference between GOD and father.

I think that snake didn't look like a snake and stood up on all two's. Now, of course, it doesn't have a leg to stand on.
