The Lord sayeth thou shalt NOT have fun!

Why not? It's not a sin to laugh and a sense of humor isn't reserved just for non-believers. The sense of humor should be in good taste and known that it's just humor and nothing more. What's wrong with that?

We don't?

I'll have to add that to the list...lets see, now, apparently as a Christian I believe the world is only 6,000 years old and flat, am afraid of science, don't believe in dinosaurs or evolution, want a theocracy and now I apparently don't have a sense of humor.

Gee, I sure am glad that there are evangelical atheist's on yahoo to tell me what I believe and don't believe in as a Christian because I never would have known these things about myself if you people hadn't been here to tell me.

Oh, does this mean that I can't listen to the comedy stations on my XM radio anymore?

I was a very devout Christian for more than forty years, and I can tell you that most Christians have a very well developed sense of humor when it comes to those people and things outside their own belief system. They poke fun at gays, lesbians, the members and beliefs of other denominations and religions. It is just when the humor is directed at them and their particular beliefs that they become offended instead of amused.

Hmm.

you can't really say "all"christians are that way."

Because I know christians that do have a sense of humor.

It also depends on the age of the christian..younger christian tend to have more of a sense of humor..and not be SO serious.

I know some Christians with a sense of humor. It's kinda unfair to say they are all prudes, but then again, maybe the "real" Christians will say they aren't really Christians.

many christians do have a sense of humor. You need to meet more Christians. However you can't expect christians to find things that they believe to be immoral or blasphemous to be funny. That would just not be taking their faith seriously.........

God Bless

Well, if you can't have premarital sex or drink beer, and then masturbation is a sin, then what release do you have? (Fundamentalists). Not that this stops Presbyterian pro-family values ministers who criticize homosexuality from sitting in hot tubs naked with gay escorts while popping pills, taking amphetamines and downing bottles of champagne. I guess the conservative trophy wife is okay with that. Divorce is wrong but this is okay (not that I am against gays just hypocrisy). Strange that certain conservatives are against gay rights but enjoy seem to enjoy gay sex and prostitutes.

America. Great country. Strange politics.

Some do, some don't. Just like some atheists have a sense of humor and some are like humorless ideological crusaders.
