What is the best shooter game? Why?

Question

For PS3 or PS2 and why?

What do you like about it? Ease of use/controls? Graphics? How real is it? Difficulty? ETC.

Please answer all as if the game was being played on a PS3 if possible.

Call of Duty 3. It just just feels right. It's hrd to explain but it is an incredibly good game on PS3, both online and off. It is one of the rare games where it is worth it for the online play, or the offline play. Very easy to learn the controls, very good graphics. Highly recommended.
Also, for PS2, the little known shooter Xlll. It's a cartoon game but has extremely good gameplay. It is about four years old but i will never tire of it. Also highly recomended. (Don't worry about backwards compatibility unless you have the 40gb model)
Finally the great game called Black. It has only eight levels and no multiplayer or online play but it is very, very good. You will be playing and replaying for weeks. It is on PS2 but again don't worry for compatibility unless on 40gb.

it depends if u wana play 1 player or with ur friends.....
but i have played call of duty 4 and it is an amazing game, the graphics are maddd and if u have surround sound u will feel like u are in a real war theme, and u whats great is well its not as easy as other games so it will take u longer to finsh and it is more real becouse if u get in the leg ur guy cant run as fast as what he use 2 which i thnk is amazing. soo if u are looking for a game i would recommend u try out da CALL OF DUTY 4......:) hope u like da game

men... if you're playing with a PS2 a great shooter game is killzone, darkwatch, call of duty, etc. it depends on what you are looking for... killzone is a futuristic war game, call of duty is from the world war, and darkwatch is a war between the good and the bad, with zombies and stuff like that... I can't tell you much about the PS3 but I've watched good games like Clive Barker's Jericho, that is like darkwatch... call of duty 4... and killzone 2
