Army!!!
They offer great enlistment bonuses, and are the only branch that lets you choose your job (MOS) everyone else puts you where they need you to go.
Gotta love the Army!

Very subjective question. It will depend on what you want out of the military, what you want to accomplish while in it and how stong a person you are.
The air forces has strict weight requirements. Of the annual cycle of keeping in shape, they do things the best. They actually compare how your body operates under physical exersion (exercise) and judge how "in shape" you are by how your body reacts to it. As for careers, I can't say I know much about them, but I did notice that they tend to have the better facilities for barracks.
The Navy on the other hand isn't so much into the physical in general. They go by height / weight charts which aren't all that accurage and can be frustrating. If your a body builder for intance or skinny as a rail, you can potentially get screwed by the charts and end up on a chub club program, even though your in reality within standards. Careers vary widely, you can almost do anything except for some billets are closed to women in general.
The marines and Army are similar in some ways but different.
Army usually flies in or has a more immediate transport to the scene or station, where as Marines usually taxi or ride to a station via Navy ships. I haven't heard nice things about how marine women are treated. Alot of head games for women, while men get the physical treatment. Army I haven't heard much of in that respects.
coast guard...if a consideration are mainly suppose to patrol the US coast, usually dealing with at sea emergencies, drug intradiction missions, etc. Once in a while they have a shiop accompany a Navy detachment of ships overseas.
I'd say, talk to a recruiter, or a couple of recruiters, I'm sure they all have a few bad stories about their competition. Just don't believe all that they say that is nice about their branch.

Air Force. We have shorter and less frequent deploments and better facilities than other branches. Also we are rarely put in the life threatening situations that soldiers and Marines are put in everyday. As far as technical training the only other branch that would rival ours is the Navy.

It depends on who you ask, to a Marine it's the Marines, Army it's Army. Navy it's Navy, Air Force it's Air Force, I myself was in the Army from 69 - 72 It was good for me. You have to make the choice on your own.

Different branches are used for very distinct purposes, but I would say that the Navy Seals are the best because they receive the harshest training.

Navy has the best food, Air Force has better opportunities for women to advance in rank, that's what my friend tells me, she is stationed on a AFB in my hometown

depends on what you are looking for and what you want to do in the long run with your future, look into what branch can give you the best training for what you want to do when you come back into the civilian world.good luck in whatever you chose to do!
as for you Gunner... please go over and stand in front of our troops since ya dont want to stand behind them... or i would be more than happy as a mother and a woman in love with a soldier to give you my address, come see me, got something for you, those men and women fight for your right to sit on that computer and say that stupid sh** cause you are too worthless to do anything else
