Looking for a good/cheap laptop bag which has compartments for storing a DSLR.

they are good, pelican make hard cases also
theres a waterproff to 30m one if your keen but they are price on application - they take 2 bodies, 4 lenses, 2 flashes a laptop and all the leads et cetera

Go to shutterbug.com and do a Search for "camera backpacks". The Aug. 2007 of Shutterbug Magazine issue had a Buyer's Guide on backpacks.

you'll need a huge backpack to store those things and all the accessories. some info that would have helped is the size of the laptop, what you intend to keep with it like chargers, extra batteries, disks, etc. Same with the dslr. Lenses, batteries, etc. try ebags, they give dimensions on their bags and backpacks.
