I have never been faced with that before so I don't know how for sure I would react. I Pray that God would give me strength to stand as the apostles and early christians did and say NO I will not reject my saviour, Cut my head off, Jesus will pick it up and put a crown of Glory on it!! I would hope I would stand fast in the liberty with which Christ hath made us free!! In the end I think I would stand in faith and cling to the promise of my blessed redeemer!!

As to your edit, I guess you would have to put a gun to my head to find out for sure, You are wanting a diffinite answer from a hypothetical question. impossible to answer it.

Die for my religion, no. Die for my faith in God and Jesus, yes.
I would admit religion is wrong without be tortured. I really don't know about the other, it's difficult to say, I wouldn't want to lie, but I wouldn't want to be tortured either, I guess it depends on how bad it was.
It's funny that a satanist would demand "no lies."

I have no particular religion. I personally find that any religion organized around an artificial dogma or human-compiled writing is going to be full of sh*t. My conclusions are my own. I don't believe in any of them dogmatically... I question all of them on a daily basis. It makes me stronger as a person.

One of the principles used by the Druids while training their novices is that IMBALANCE is the only way to lead to growth. When all forces are in perfect balance, the net movement is ZERO. Perfect balance leads to perfect stagnation. So, please, do challenge my beliefs. If your arguments are logical, no torture would be necessary to get me to listen. However, if you were to torture me, you would be hard-pressed to get me to agree with anything, as I would see you as nothing more than a violent animal who is unable to get his point across by discussion, reason, and logic, as opposed to violence.

So, would I admit that my religion/beliefs/etc. is wrong under pain of torture? No. Admit to crimes I didn't do? Why should I? Pain can be mastered. A strong enough mind is its own master, and will accept no other.

As for being willing to die for my religion... as I said, I have no religion. I have things that I believe are right and wrong in this world. YES, I would be willing to risk my life for the greater good, if I felt that it was the right thing to do. I wouldn't die to make a meaningless martyrdom. That's just stupid. But to me, death isn't the worst thing that can happen. There are many worse fates, such as dying for the wrong reason, or living an empty, meaningless life, or living in irrational fear of death.

When one can accept the inevitability of death, the impermanence of life, and the natural rhythms or the universe, then fear fades, and life can be lived the way it was meant to be. Trust your instincts. Mine have served me well.

Of course... if a person were to attempt to torture me or take my life, that idiot had better be careful. That person might find his or her neck broken before I've even had my clothes ruffled.

In all honesty I cannot really say because I have never been in such a position, and hope never to have to be.

Though I can say I would much less likely for me to renounce my beliefs in public than it would be in private.
