Because this is the English language. The Original name for God is not god, mmmkay. And if you want to find out more as in why God doesn't really spell dog backwards you should read the Bible. You need Jesus.

because it's just language. I'd venture to guess that its something that really only occurs in english. I wouldn't think god/dog, evil/live, occur in every single language like that. =D
