I don't add any sugar to my coffee and only occasionally cream. i do add full-cream milk, should i switch to no-fat milk (i'm not such a big fan of skim milks as they have no "flavour" and appear watered down)?

No.. coffee is a natural diuretic and has no calories. Try keeping a food journal for a couple of weeks. Write down everything you eat with calorie content..my guess is you'll find the little things ad up before you know it...good luck

Actually coffee has no calories and no fat. It is a natural laxative! When you put sugar and cream into is when the calories go up, but honestly 1tsp of sugar is only 15 calories I do believe... so... that is not that much by any means.
My guess is that stress could be causing your weight gain. When your body gets stressed out your metabolisim actually slows down, hence gaining weight. It also could be a combination of that and not getting as much exercise, even if you didnt hit the gym every day, but go from a job where you are on your feet walking and moving all day to a desk job where you sit at a desk a majority of the time really can be detrimental.

Try to have your coffee between meals, never during or straight before a meal.
And this is what i found, because coffee contains asparatame -
Aspartame also causes weight gain by other mechanisms ---Causes unstable blood sugar levels, which increases the appetite and causes cravings for sweets/sugar. Causes fluid retention giving the body a puffy and bloated appearance. This makes people look fatter than they are and increases cellulite.
Hope this helps :)

It depends on how much sugar or cream you add to it, not the coffee itself. If you add too much sugar or cream every time you drink coffee.. It wouldn't make you lose weight, I can say that.

Absolutely not-unless you're putting cream and/or sugar in it. That can add a lot of calories.
