If you don't believe in Catholicism, you are not a Catholic; you were just raised that way. Why would you want to "change to something that doesn't believe in anything?" Wouldn't you want to change to believe the truth? There is truth. It is worth knowing. I recommend a book before you decide. It is "I Don't Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist" by Norman Geisler and Frank Turek. It should clear a few things up for you, and then you can make a better decision.

Stay away from religion. Read the Bible and follow it to get salvation. The plan of salvation is clearly spelled out in the book of Acts.

If you are talking about changing churches. Find one that teaches from the Bible and always follows up what is taught by scripture.

You are also correct about the catholic church, It is sending a lot of people to hell. That's why you feel like you do. God is trying to lead you away from all of that nonsense.

You are obviously a spiritual person, so you can't shake off your beliefs overnight.
Have you ever thought of helping others less fortunate than yourself, in a voluntary capacity. This way you won't be completely turning your back on something that has been a big part of your thinking and life.
There are numerous charitable organisations that you could align yourself to, while you are sorting yourself out.As you are probably aware, most charities have a religious background, although they are nonjudgmental in their helping capacity.Which would possibly suit you.

If you don't want to believe in anything (be an athiest), then there is no formal ceremony or anything, it's just a change in personal belief/actions (ex you wouldn't go to mass anymore) However, if you don't want to give up religion completely and just change to a different one, I would try either looking online or contacting different religious leaders in your area.

You really sound so sad....

You certainly need to try a church where you are actually LEARNING from God ABOUT God, and not from the Priest, who often do not know God at all.

The Catholic church is so full of rituals that you MUST do to HOPEFULLY get to heaven. You don't NEED all those rituals! You just need Jesus in your life. You WON'T find him in MOST Catholic churches.

Not easy, is it ?
When you give something up, another thing must take it's place, regardless of whether it is religion, or another interest, such as a sport, craft,or educating yourself.
The gap must be filled for your sanity and piece of mind. Don't look too hard, it will find you, like a calling.

If you don't believe in anything, you've already changed the biggest part of your religion. The next logical step is to just stop going to church.

Sounds like you want to be an atheist or agnostic. Read the references, and see if they make sense to you. If so, just don't bother doing any Catholic things.

i am debating over whether you mean you want to change to something that doesn't mean anything...or you want to change to something that does not have such set and rigid rules...
Perhaps now is the time when you are to begin your own spiritual journey...seeking out what is true for you, finding what is spiritually fulfilling and promoting peace and serenity in your soul. Happiness is an inside job my friend....first you need to seek out your basic core beliefs....question everything and seek out your own path....

Good luck to you my friend and may you find what it is you seek....
Blessed Be
