Satan was named Lucifer and he was the highest of all angels in God's heaven. He decided that HE would become the greatest all powerful and gathered a following of 1/3 of the angels in heaven. God threw them all "out" and down to earth they came. He does have power, he is the prince of the power of the air, and his domain is here. He is not God and cannot be everywhere at once, cannot know everything that is going to happen, nor is he omnipotent (all powerful) as God is.
The book of Revelation (the last book in the New Testament) vividly describes the final war where Satan battles God here on earth, and loses and is thrown into eternal damnation. There are many references, as prophecies, in the Old Testament that show the end times also.
He is a very real force and can take over your mind, and your body if you allow him by dabbling with his tools and ways. Trusting in God will give you the only power he cannot battle and win.

He was an angel of God. He wanted to be like God and was banished to Hell. He has whatever power you allow him.

Evil, as defined by St. Augustine is the absence of God, as God is all that is love. Satan is supposedly the embodiment of all that is darkness, and evil. He is the one whispering in your ear, "Oh yeah, go ahead, look at her paper. No one is going to notice that you're cheating. You're gonna pass the test." Don't fear satan, just don't let him take control of your life.

He is an archangel who tried to usurp God (Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:12-19). Most people, when confronted by evil powers are frightened. His power is mainly that of deception.

satan was once Lucifer, and his job, if I remember right, was worship. But once he decided he could be like God, he was kicked out of heaven and sent to hell. satan has no power except what you give him, and no you are not meant to be afraid. You are to have a righteous fear in the Lord and the Lord alone.

satan is a fallen angel. his name use to be lucifer and he was one of the top angels i guess you could say. but then he got jealous of God and all the power He had. so now satan hates God and hates everything God made, including us.

satan will do everything he can do try to get people to turn away from God and try to get people to sin. he "lives" in hell. so
if you want to avoid going to hell after you die, accept the Lord Jesus Christ into your heart so He can save you.

Satan is no more than a name we gave so that we can blame all evil on someone or something. what is it more than the letters that make it up? He has no power and the power we have is what we give him.
