I am not gay, but here is the question my girlfriend asked me. She said that people enjoy all different types, styles, and sensations of sex. What we are debating about is what determines if a guy is gay.

Her Point:

Some women like a back door entry. They like it because it feels good, and it falls under the different types of styles, and sensations/pleasures of sex. She said what’s wrong with a man enjoying the same thing. She believes that the back door entry is just another way to enjoy yourself, and what rule or law says only a woman can enjoy that. Her take on it is 9x out of 10 it’s a man giving a woman the back door entry whether it’s with a toy or himself so why should it be any different with a man when it comes to a toy or himself giving or receiving the back door entry. She says society tells us it’s wrong by saying it’s in the bible that everyone lives by, but was not living back then when it was written so how do they know the bible over time has not been watered down to fit society now. She says can you really believe what a book says that dates back to Greek and Hebrew text in the early 700 BC, and we are now in 2007

My Point:

I understand that it’s just another way to express or enjoy yourself, and even though it’s not a preference of mine I know that there is not a law or a rule that says only a woman can enjoy it. My problem is, just because a man would like to enjoy things going in the back door, I don’t think you can say you are not gay if the thing going in the back door of a man is being done by another man. With all the toys and gadgets these day I just think if a man wants another man to provide that pleasure to him, he is gay.

Do you agree with her point or mine, and why?

The actual "actions" involved are irrelevant - it all comes down to the GENDER of the people involved...

Two people of the SAME gender constitute a HOMOSEXUAL relationship - while two of opposite genders make a HETEROSEXUAL relationship. It's as simple as that ;););)

first off, the bible has NOTHING to do with it. if YOU dont like anal sex, thats fine. if she does, thats fine too. not to be nasty, and i hope this doesnt get reported, but the back door is pretty tight, which is why guys tend to like it. theres something inside there that can get the bottom person off...therefore making it a happy experience for both people. if the "front door" was that tight, it wouldnt really matter...... do what YOU want. if u'd feel like you were gay having anal, then dont do it. dont make yourself uncomfortable. but u never know until u try it. it doesnt make u gay. the tighter, the better..ive heard lol

haha you two need to stop the debate really. i like oral and my husband asked if i ever had lesbian thoughts since i enjoy oral sex a lot. BUT, that doesn't mean i have a chance of being a lesbian, and heck no i would never go there.

truth is, i believe that sex started with the backdoor entrance. the missionary position is called that because priests or whatever told meng to give up their "animal" aka "backdoor" positions and start missionary so that they could see their loved one, enjoy her breast, and be able to kiss.

humans are byfar the only creatures that have sex facing each other. it's a previledge.

I would go with your position on the matter. I think if a man wants another man to do that with him, he's gay or has doubts about his sexuality.

Its so confusing these days to pinpoint wether anyone is gay straight or bi. I think that only the people themselves can decide - wether they prefer the (sexual) company of females or males I think is the major deciding factor.

A third, simpler option:

If you desire carnal fornication with a member of the same sex, you are homosexual.

If you desire carnal fornication with a member of the opposite sex, you are heterosexual.

If you desire carnal fornication with members of both sexes, you are bisexual.

How exactly that occurs and by what methods and positions has absolutely nothing to do with it.

i believe anus is designed as the exit point of our digestive waste and it is being purposely designed to be at our back for convenience and to serve its purpose.. men doing it does not necessarily mean they are gay and i don't want to judge anyone who prefers or takes it acceptable... its just that, let's use our body parts the proper way and for the purposes of which it is designed...

from what is written here in this question you and your girlfriends opinions do not contradict eachother. Your opinion agrees with hers and then expands on it.
