Anybody who believes that God couldn't have created man by means of evolution believes that the Bible is literal in relation to its timelines. But then they go on to assume that God displaced the light from stars so we could see them from earth without having to wait anywhere from 4 to 14,000,000,000 years (or various other wacky theories to squelch any opposition to their insanity).
It seems like they're willing to stretch when it suits them, but otherwise, the word of God is literal fact. :( Poor poor Fundies.
I've always said that evolution doesn't disprove any God and vice versa. And I'm an atheist.
I really think these people that can't accept evolution and such only do because it's a lot less work to believe that the Bible is comletely literal. I mean, if it's all parables and meanings that go deep below the surface of what's on the page, then it requires a lot of homework to figure out exactly what "God" is trying to say. But if you just take it literally, all you have to do is read the book and say, "Evolution? Apes? Pah...that's not what GOD says about it. Look here! See? Seven days, and you can't convince me of anything more complicated. I win."
I'd hate to group all Christians together and include the good ones with the ones that have this particular mental condition, so I just call them "Fundies."

i think of you will locate maximum Christians have not got a concern with evolution. Theistic Evolution (the thought God used evolution as his motor vehicle to convey on life because it rather is in the present day) isn't incompatible with scripture. The Roman Catholic Church represents a million.a million billion Christians, and the coolest stance of Catholicism is that God used evolution in this sort. it rather is barely a small group of protestants who believe in youthful Earth Creationism. That small group, inspite of the undeniable fact that, is discovered predominantly in united statesa., extremely the Bible Belt. outdoors of that, you are able to locate small wallet of youthful Earth Creationists someplace else international extensive, however the Christians that stay around them and settle for evolution could be the dominant concept.

Depends.
If you are talking about macro-evolutions (formation of new species, which by the way was proved false), then no, it is not possible becuase the bible clearly states that He created all the animals on the earth.
If you are talking about micro-evolution, then yes. We as humans have adapted to our surroundings (skin color, organ usage, and things like that)(which is basically micro-evolution). But a new species is not created, so yes, but only for micro-evolution..

I suggest: Read a Bible and make a choice. Study all the evolution material you can and study all the creation material you can. I recommend Kent Hovind as a creation source, who Stephen hawking, amongst many others, has refused to debate.

The creationists change the bible and the teachings to fit the new findings of the theory of evolution, one day it will all melt together...the bible stories are falling apart bit by bit.
Now it's God created evolution.. c'mon guys, which is it..you can't keep changing the rules ..what will you do when they totally figure out the big bang theory, they are close, say God created the Big Bang..
It's not possible ... one will eventually squash the other.

Catholic doctrine states that Christians are allowed to believe in both creation and evolution as long as they believe that God is the mastermind behind it all.

Not if you believe that God created the universe so that it included evolution. But if you believe in both, you should know that.

Yes, the mechanisms for how the earth and all it contains got here are diametrically opposed in these theories. Sorry--but while you can be a christian and believe in evolution --you can't be a creationist and believe in evolution.
