if i bought the 400 dollar version of the ps3, what exactly am i missing out on? and.. if i wanted to buy whatever it is that doesnt come with it in the future.. how much would that be?

For starters, you'll miss the PS2 backward compatibility. The 40 gb does not and will not support PS2 backward compatibility. You're also missing 2 USB ports and the 3 various flash drives.

There's really no way to fix the backward compatibility problem. For the USB and flash drives, I guess you can just get an external USB and flash hubs. I think they run about 30 bucks to 50 bucks.

You can't play PS2 games. 40GB has 2 USBs instead of for, there is no memory card reader. Newer cooling system (less noise, better cooling)
For future:
Blu-ray remote,
Bluetooth headset
Keyboard, mouse
Charging station for controllers

Don't use intercoolers - they make everything worse.

i guess u cnt play ps2 games but thats why u keep or sell games and system
