How about a picnic, or miniature golf, bowling, maybe an interactive activity that you both can get involved in.
There's lots of things besides the movies, be creative.

Going to the lake is amazing, Its a peaceful and serene place and it gives you a chance to talk.
Go out to eat, find a restuarant you both enjoy (whether it by McD's or some fancy joint).
RENT a movie, the movie theaters are always too crowded. Rent a movie, get a couple of snacks and sit at home cuddled up toghether.
Go to a football game at school.
Drive around town for a while.
Go to a party.
Find a concert with music you both enjoy.
If you have any siblings take them on a playdate.
Fun can be found in the most simplest places. I've had dates that had ended up at walmart. =)
