Usually things that involve other people in a casual setting. The park, skate park, a class at the local parks department, anything but sit and let the feeling of lonliness consume you. Do something active or different from your daily routine, be spontaneous, try something new, change your schedule, the list is endless, but the main thing to remember that lonliness is destructive and will not get better by enduring it. Life is full of things to do, just pick one or two. Redo your schedule to reflect interaction with people or the public. Start a dog walking business. Plan a route that brings you in touch with people. Animals are a good common ground for conversation and lots of dogs at once is sure to bring you interaction and money to boot. Limit the time you spend alone to that period in which you sleep.
hope that helps.

Instead of sitting around the house and dwelling on it, get out and do something. Get involved in your community. Join a social club. Go back to school or other places where you can meet people. Most importantly, always keep in touch with your friends so you won't end up lonely.

I do things that make me feel better. For example listening to music, writting out my feelings, and running. I call my friends if I'm lonely or eat chocolate.

I try not to dwell on it. I go out, catch a movie, read a book, do something around the house..
