At your age I cleaned the neighbors house for extra money. Fed and took care of their pets. Watered their plants when they were out of town. Mowed their lawn. As long as it was in the neighborhood and your parents know the people they should trust you. Babysitting is one of the safest things you could do. Your in a locked house. What could happen? You need to experience life and show your parents that you are a very responsible young person. With them trying to shelter you it's gonna cause more harm than good. You need to experience the world and what's out there. So that you will know how to take care of yourself incase something happens to them. (God forbid) But it does happen. I'd say get a job at McDonalds but they get robbed and the workers get killed too. There's really no safe place to work in this world anymore. Dog walking is safer than that because who wants to kidnap a child with a bunch of dogs attached to her. Also the dogs aren't stupid, they would be there for you, dogs sense danger. I would trust my daughter in the park with a mess of dogs before I would trust her to walk to school with friends from being kidnapped. I would trust her to babysit before working out in the public. Babysitting is safe. Doors are locked and you have access to a phone in case of an emergency. Also, have a cell phone with you when your walking the dogs. 911 is a very important number.

Sometimes you can get a job working at a movie theatre or restaurant. Problem is, your age can legally keep you from being able to operate certain equipment and you can't work long hours, stuff like that. I would recommend trying the restaurant thing first, and maybe even check out stores to see if they will be needing help for the holidays.

Acting. See if you can audition for any commercials, TV shows or movies. Seriously. It's a long shot but it would pay a lot.
