I really want to thanx all of yous that answer me back, but for the -k9partne- I really think that you are very rude if you don't know my situation then you should insult no one and to be a dog trainer you should be a little bit more polite, this wasn't a question to be rude about, It was just the curisetiy just looking at the pups sleeping a lot. For every one that help me solve my question thank you all,

Puppies are like babies: they grow while they sleep. First of all, their eyes don't even open for about 2 weeks. It's normal for them to sleep most of the time for the first few weeks of their life - just as human babies do. Just be glad they're sleeping at night. :0) They'll be falling all over themselves and playing in another 2-3 weeks. But please do NOT give them away until they're at least 6-8 weeks old. It's not good for them to leave their mom before then. You can start weaning them over to semi-solid food after they're about 4-5 weeks old.

At the age of 2 1/2 weeks, most puppies haven't even opened their eyes yet. They will feed and sleep for another couple of weeks until they have the strength and co-ordination to use their legs and when their eyes have fully opened, and this still may be a slow process. Once this takes place they will want to start to explore and learn from their mother and the other puppies.

Keep in mind that when a puppy (or a any newborn mammal) is first born, they have about 10% muscle development. They must eat as much as they can get, move ever so slightly more each day, and get lots of rest while their body develops before they are able to actually run and play. Just like a human baby needs months to learn to walk and get around, so must puppies spend a few weeks just building up their muscular strength and cognitive functions.

its just part of being a baby. Animals are similar in some ways to humans. Newborns sleep more, then less as they get older. Give your puppies 1 more week + you will see a difference. At 3 wks they are more active, try to eat mom's dog-food, + play. even more when they're 4 wks old.

This is called "the calm before the storm" lol. This is your time and the mother dog to rest for a couple of weeks before the storm starts. In a couple of weeks you won't be able to keep up with them and you'll be wishing they would sleep more often. Good luck and don't worry.

They will need to develop more. Once their eyes are open, they can't really see anything but shapes yet, and will not venture far from the safety of the den. At about 4 weeks of age you will see a dramatic development in their personalities and how far they will explore on their own.
If more than 4 weeks of age they are still lethargic, you might need to think about medical attention.

Totally normal. They'll start developing their own personalities at about 4 - 5 weeks.
