The real Koran was written in Arabic so unless you can read Arabic anything you buy will be a translation only. The words always loose something in the translation.
That is why there are so many English versions of the Bible which was originally written in Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic.

The Quaran (Koran) and the Bible are two very different books; one is the Muslim holy book, the other is the Christian holy book. You could look in the Yellow Pages of a metropolitan area near you and search for an Islamic cultural center or Mosque. They probably will have a book store. Regardless, unless you know Arabic, you're going to have a translation - which is not an original Koran, so you'll have to deal with a "copycat."

Bible and Koran are totally different from each oother, er ,Koran in the beginning ,contains some details that are similar to those of the Bible. You have plenty of both the books in all the public ;libraries in thee US.You can no find so many versions of the Koran and the Bible anywhere else .
In th case of the Bible , you might not find any difference between one version and another of the same Testament . In the case of Koran , you can not easily find a version that is true to the original in Arabic as many of the Suras seem to have been modified or tinkered with by omitting or twisting details that the translator finds inconvenient to the people of different culture .So you will have to read a number of translations by Muslims and non-Muslims rendered before 9/ 11, so that you might have no reason to believe any of them as prejudiced .

Qur'an has no versions. It's just one book and nothin else. You will find the same translations maybe with different words but with the same meaning in each one of them. You can try this website to buy a Qur'an.
http://www.simplyislam.com/products/quran.asp
Or try amazon.com.
I don't know about the Bible and which version you are looking for.
Have a nice day.

First off, there is a very low chance that your going to find a copycat, although you will have to read a translation of course. I mean, do you see copycat bibles. Second, its not the Quran bible, its just the Quran. Also, there is a very large Muslim community in the USA, and many types of Qurans translation and anlysis books. I would recommend a Quran that has the translation, along with explanation notes, and/or the original words in Arabic. Here are some good examples of Qurans, amazon.com sells many different types of Qurans with rather good translations: http://www.amazon.com/Koran-Parallel-Arabic-Penguin-Classics/dp/0140445420/ref=pd_bbs_sr_7/103-9148007-4058253?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1194494310&sr=8-7
http://www.amazon.com/Koran-Interpreted-Translation-J-Arberry/dp/0684825074/ref=pd_bbs_sr_9/103-9148007-4058253?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1194494310&sr=8-9
http://www.amazon.com/Quran-Oxford-Worlds-Classics/dp/0192831933/ref=pd_bbs_4/103-9148007-4058253?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1194494310&sr=8-4
The last one is the best that I have seen on amazon, as it provides an in depth analysis of phrases that can't be perfectly translated. The first Quran is good because you can see the original Arabic text, but since I'm assuming you can't read Arabic, my best suggestion is the last one. Finally, you should be able to walk into most stores including Chapter and Coles and buy the Quran. Major publishers sell translations like Penguin and even Oxford.
Also, although it might be easiest to go into a Mosque and get one for free, and they will even want you to take one, it's better just to buy one if you can afford it. Remember that a Mosque is run off of mostly donations, if you can afford one yourself try not to leech off of the Mosque's copies.

The Qu'ran and Bible are two different books. The Qu'ran is the Holy Book for Muslims just like the Bible is for Christians. As for where to buy it, look up any Islamic stores in your area or look Online. I live in America and I have one as well.

Well first off, it's NOT a bible. The majority of all Qurans will be the same, but try your best to find one with not only a translation beside it, but an expert's commentary (usually includes Hadiths which supplements the Quran in Islam).
