would you ever date someone that you've met online...someone people?

that i've spoken to said no, guess b/c they are too embarrassed. Have you ever met anyone online that you really like and wanted to date but couldn't get yourself to do so

Yeah, I think I would be willing to try it. I haven't tried it myself, but I know some people who it worked for. They eventually ended up getting married.

I would date someone I met online.. to an extent. I usually make sure that I know someone that they know. For example, if you are looking in your area then there is a good chance that you know atleast 1 person that is someway connected to that person and you can do a little bit of background work on them. Not to mention sites like facebook and myspace help with getting information as well. Always gotta do the research first. There are way too many crazy people out there to just go out on a random date. You really need to know what you are getting into before you get there. Atleast thats the way I see it.

One of my good friends met her boyfriend of 2 years online. And they live a 4 hour plane ride away from each other! She only just met him in person (they had talked on the phone almost every day for almost a year and a half) about 6 months ago when he came to take her to prom (so sweet!). He's coming to visit again next week for her birthday and when he's done university this year he's moving here to be with her. So don't let anyone tell you it can't work out!

I have met a few online in RL. But I urge anyone to follow these rules when meeting someone.
First, if you are going to meet them, let at least three different people know where you are going, how long you plan on staying, and if traveling by car, the exact route you are taking.
Next, never meet anyone in a secluded place. Even if it is suppose to be a romantic rendezvous.
Finally, listen to your inner self. If that TINY voice is saying dont go, then dont.

If I randomly met them in guy or woman and we vibed at the same time who's familiar with, yet i could by no skill meet a splash with the objective of dating them. I do effective assembly women people interior the genuine international thank you.

of course you should date some1 u really like,even if its some1 u met online,I met the love of my life online and now we live together,sure ur gonna run into a couple of quirky ppl before you meet the right person, but thats expected b/c that happens either from meeting some1 online or not,lol,maybe you dont meet the love of your life online, but it never hurts to look,have an open mind

i am dating a guy that i met on the internet he lived in virginia and i live in tennessee i was just messing around one night and i started talking to him and he gave me his phone number and i called him we talked on the phone back and forth for a month and he came to tn to meet me and we have been together for two yrs almost and we are engaged and getting married in june we have lived together since he came to tn and hes the best thing thats ever happened to me. so i would say yea go ahead and date but be extremely careful and if you go to meet him have someone with you do not go alone!!!!!!! good luck!!!!

if we were introduced by our common friend, I might but if he's just a total stranger & just know of through the internet...a big NO! (heard in the news that a girl met her online chat mate but it turned out really bad cause she was gang raped)

of course i would and i have --- now im just anxious to meet may lady ---- she is half a world away and its a tad difficult to get everything together
