My husband always tells me that for P.T. they tell them what to wear, like usually green on green or sometimes rainbow, so that means any color of shorts and shirt but the other day he was wearing a long sleeve black shirt with shorts, so I asked him why he took that and he said that they told them to wear black for P.T. Is that true...? Do they specifically tell you to wear a black shirt too? I just tought that was too weird, that's why I'm asking. I'll appreciate all the helping answers. :)

yes they tell you exactly what to wear. when i was in they even told me what kind of socks i could and couldn't wear. i would say %90 of the time P.T. was green on green. the other %10 percent was wearing green shorts with the unit t-shirt. The military is all about uniformity, and discipline. they tell you what to wear so you all look the same, and they tell you what to wear to make sure you do what your told. its all about following orders.

It is so cool that you have this on here tonight. My husband and I had to go to the MCX to buy a toboggan because everyone has to wear one for PT tomorrow and he can't find his so it is definately true that they tell you what to wear no matter if you have been in 12mos or 12 years.

Yes, They tell you what to wear, where to go, how high to jump, and what color to sh**, and not necessarily in that order. Usually at the discretion of the drill instructor.
