Baxter is dead.

You know, I'd probably be a christian too if my life and livelihood depended on it. Us atheists don't believe that there's anything awaiting us at death but the end of our existence, so if the country is ruled by murderous Christians that torture you into submission or sentence you to death for disagreeing with them, it would seem like the smart choice to say "Yeah, yeah, uh, I believe that too..." even if you really didn't. Needless to say, both Newton and Kepler were considered very smart men.

Enough of these! No, being Christian does not make you racist, irrational, intolerant, or any other stereotypes you'd like to use.

#1. Stereotyping is never 100% accurate.
#2. To be wrong in one respect does not make you wrong in all respects.
#3. At the time and place, everyone was Christian, it wasn't really a choice, it was a fact. You had no respect if you weren't a Christian, thus this question doesn't even apply.

Enough of your ungrounded Christian Bashing Tyrade

Christians are not irrational..they are the most rational people on the face of the Earth...What is irrational is to believe your ancestors were apes or crawled up out of some primordial slime....Boy, it just takes suspending all that is common sense to believe that...

Are you at all familliar with arguing from authority? Might want to look that up, because logical fallacies make you look stupid. Just because somebody has irrational beliefs about religion and their god, does not at all mean they're unintelligent about other things.

Newton and Kepler were Christian in a time when it was social, legal and financial suicide to say you weren't. What choice did they have?
