If you think about it no action can be inherently positive or negative, since it's all a matter of perspective.
However if you only act in ways that you feel are positive then that's probably as close as you can get to achieving the goal of ensuring that all of your thoughts and actions are positive.
An admirable goal, indeed.

The cosmos is imperfect because it is evolutionary in nature, having erupted from the naked singularity. How can you believe that we are living in a universe which is harmonic and perfectly balanced? If it were, it would be solid state, changeless, and it is not that. And, there would be no wars, crimes, or mortality on Earth or elsewhere. Animation produces disharmony. No one's thoughts and actions are always positive! Polarity is also the nature of matter, even in the atomic state where protons are positive and electrons are negative. Alternating electrical current is so named because it changes from positive to negative. You can only recognize positivity by its contrast to negativity.

The world is not ying and yang. The sum of all things would then be zero. Perfect harmony is not seeking that zero state, rather it is seeking the positive until we have achieved what is known in physics as a "steady state." It's just me, a Christian, trying to convey the meaning of seeking God, with a natural analogy.

I agree with I M D R meanian (abbrev). But with one difference I try. I have to be constantly vigilant of my actions.
I am ever aware of my fundamental darkness which will manifest itself if you let it. I cannot separate myself from this since the opposite (enlightenment) is always there also to manifest itself if you let it. If you think that enlightenment or the fundamental darkness resides outside yourself you will never be able to control the outcome. For you are at the whim of another (environment included). If you deny the existence of your own darkness then it will one day devour you and you will feel lost and helpless. Like that boy in Finland who shot & killed 8 people. I know his helplessness, his desperate cries, truly hell on earth.....
We have to awaken people to the truth. SO MANY people so much in DESPAIR. Help me spread the message!

Thanks for opening my eyes.

sometimes perfect balance means to return evil for evil to our enemies and in such way to gain freedom.
there is no perfect balance if some evil person force you with years to be his or her slave - perfect balance in such case means to return the humiliation and attack to such evil empire and people.
soon I will revenge to all people who insulted and torchured me. if I do not do so, they will think that as a Buddhist, they can insult me over and over. Now is their time to feel the pain.
