I'm planning on dying my hair at home tomorrow, but I know absolutely nothing about hair and I need help. I have a dirty, dirty blonde color...it almost looks grey sometimes. I currently have blonde highlights in, but they're growing out, and I've realized I want to be blonde all over. Not BLEACHED blonde, more like a lighter, yellow blonde...like Carrie Underwood's current hair color. Would I be better off bleaching it first and then dying it? Or just going straight to the dye? ... Or something else?

I suggest trying Natural Match by L'Oreal. It's multi-dimensional so your hair will look natural. You can choose to go a bit lighter too. For product information & tips: http://www.naturalmatch.com/
