What if the definition of pretending is to deceive or give a false appearance? What if pretending can fool men, but it cannot fool God? What if it's true that we are known by our fruits? What if Jesus was right in saying that not everyone who calls Him their Lord will enter heaven (Mt. 7:21)? What if Satan wants me to believe I can sin and get away with it? What if God is not only a God of love and forgiveness, but also a God of justice and wrath?
What if it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God (Heb. 10:31)? What if my love for the things of this world reveals that I do not belong to Christ (1 Jn. 2:15)? What if I really should examine myself to see if I am truly in the faith? What if I have not honestly been broken over my sins against God and completely surrendered to the Lordship of Jesus Christ? What if I have broken God's commandments thousands of times without even caring that it spits in the face of God? What if God holds me accountable for every lie, every lustful thought, and every time I felt hatred toward a person? What if God considers my lust to be adultery and my hatred as murder? What if I'm actually ignoring the God who gives me my every breath? What if I don’t see myself as a despicable, wicked person who deserves nothing but eternity in hell? What if God does not desire for me to go to hell, but He will not force me to stop living my self-centered life (Mark 8:34-38)? What if even though I have been so selfish in my self-centered life, Jesus still desires me as He lovingly took the wrath of God upon Himself on the cross for me? What if this conviction in my heart is begging me to genuinely repent and to surrender my life and desires to Jesus Christ alone?

Everyone that calls himself Christian is pretending to be Christ-like. We could never be Christ but we can to some extent be like him. We are not saved by works and yet we do by faith perform righteous acts for the Lord when the Holy Spirit prompts us to do so. Anything done outside of faith is not beneficial and most likely not from the Lord. Perfect Love casts away all fear. When you are a child of the Most High God, you do not fear him you Love and reverence him. You can know if you are a child of God, not by your works but by Gods works. Our works are like filthy rags when they are done outside of Agape Love and by the guidance of the Holy Spirit and lacking faith in what God is doing. The Holy Bible states that there is none that does good, no not one. This is stated in several points in the Holy Scriptures. We are nothing without Christ! To those who do not belong to God and try to act like they are, they will be sifted and seperated at the Lord's return. He promises to seperate the goats from his sheep and the his wheat from the tares that look so much like the real deal. In conclusion, we do not have to worry about who is faking their Christian walk, God knows and that is enough. Our words should never challenge people to believe what we are saying is true but our lives should definately speak God's Love in Truth....that is speaking the Truth in Love. This also, is the greater things that the Bible says we would do, that is beyond miracles and signs and wonders. Those things are awesome when they happen but we should not look for signs, and we should not be looking for who is better than ourselves. Why, because we are not worth it as we could never arrive without Christ. Jesus, will shine through when his Love is portrayed in us and he is glorified when we Love others and God. Remember the two thieves on the cross, even Jesus did not try to convince either one of the two thieves to repent, the one just did and the other well, he just didn't. Do you see what I mean Brother?

"Love is as Love does."

In Christ,

True. Whilst my flesh wants to take the easy way out and walk the broad path of the world, my spirit fights to remain on the narrow path, upstream, against the forces of hell. I strive to stay God-centered for I fear God enough, through the True Gospel you preach, that I do not want to die at the will of my own fallen nature. I want to live eternally, with Him, forever. Hence I surrender and repent unfeigned to the Lord Jesus Christ, my Savior.

Thank you Brother for edifying us with the Truth. May God continue to annoint and bless your ministry!

No, what is the sense of pretending, when God sees all and knows all. That doesn't even make sense. One preacher on the TV said it the other day. He said, that when we are delivered from sin, we often are not delivered from people yet. There are many Christians who are people pleasers and not God pleasers. I had that lesson already and I had to do it two times, but I am delivered from people today and I am a God pleaser.

Lord Father I admit I fall short of your glory. Lord forgive me for every sin I have committed. I know I need you and I can't live my life without you. You alone are the author and protector of my faith. You hate sin and I keep falling into sin. Please forgive me and wash me and hold me close I pray in Jesus name. Examine my every thought, my every motive. As David prayed Lord search me. Guide me to your truth. Don't let me fall away and don't let my love grow cold. IN JESUS NAME AMEN!. This is my response to your question. God bless you.

The vast majority of Christians pay no attention to what their god told them to do. Most are just pretending.

"Believe in God, don't pretend to believe in God, it's the pretending that gets man into so much trouble!"

Does that help clear the air?
