This rumor came from a very good source. Makes sense seeing that they all cover and enforce the UCMJ.
Thanks

No, haven't heard of that, but they are all under the Dept of Defense. The difference is each investigate criminal matters for their own perspective branch of military. They don't investigate UCMJ matters as more matters that fall under Federal Laws that happen either within a military installation, or by military members. UCMJ matter are usually left to command investigators, who are not members of the units that you cited in your question.

The first time this surfaced was in the 1970s. It was about the time they were also talking about the "purple suit" concept for military medicine. Purple is the color you wind up with after mixing Army Green, Air Force Blue and Navy Blue together.
That medical consolidation concept is now going to be put in force on a partial basis. All enlisted medical personnel are going to be given initial training at Fort Sam Houston and Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Malcolm Grow at Andrews are going to be placed in Bethesda next to the current Navy Medical Center. They even have permanent Navy and Air Force medical staff at the big Army Medical Center in Landstuhl Germany.
So, I wouldn't put this one completely into the "Rumor-Modified Handling" category. The first step will probably come when they consolidate initial training at one site.

However, they cover Department specific investigations also.

no, that would be smart but it wouldn't work out, coz each branch has different rules and guidlines to follow. seems smart but maybe too smart and too much work for the dod
