The spelling "womyn" is used by some radical feminists, who think that "woman" since it contains the letters of "man" is sexist. They also have a reputation for having no sense of humor.
My version of this joke is a bit simpler: How many women's libbers does it take to change a light bulb. Ans.: That's not funny! (said with a glare and a dangerous tone of voice).

I though maybe the light bulb was inserted in the 'Y' (upside down woman) and then it took four to hold and turn the bulb holder.
