Masturbation! Masturbation! Masturbation! Thank you, Tuberoot for being the only one who has posted who both had the guts to actually mention the word AND spelled it correctly. Are we so hung up on normal sexual functioning that we can't even spell the words, much less say them?
To answer the question, some say that the story of Onan ejaculating onto the ground and God's killing the guy as proof that masturbation is a sin. (Of course God didn't seem to have any problem with the incest, prostitution, and killing women for having sex with you stuff.)
Others say it's the "if you lusted, you committed adultery" philosphy mentioned by Jaireh. But that's a lot of daily adultery by the average teenage or young adult male. Seems to me a friendly handshake with the monster in your pants before you leave the house each morning might actually decrease these incidences of thought-based adultery throughout the rest of the day. (Not to mention helping maintain abstinence if your are so inclined.)

you know what's funny, the bible doesn't go into masterbation... pick up this book it's called "sex: it's worth the wait" and it's by Greg Speck, the man is brilliant.
to sum it up for you though, masterbation is wrong if you think about someone while doing it... in all honesty would you do it if your mom or God was sitting right there??? well your mom may not be sitting there, but God is always watching...
Romans 12:1 "Therfore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-- this is your spiritual act of worship"
You will always be in God's eyes no matter what... as long as you belive Jesus Christ died for you... you could commit every sin possible and God would still love you.
as for God's views on oral... don't do it.. say you knew your future wife, would you be okay knowing some man is fondling and touching her? or she is doing that to him?? No you wouldn't so don't do it.
seriously get that book it will help sooo much

The Bible is silent about both masturbation and oral sex. What it does tell us is that sexual thoughts are wrong (Matthew 5:28; Eph 2:3; Hebrews 4:12), which is usually the root of masturbation, which is what makes it wrong. As for sex, in general, God did "invent" it since He made man and woman, but it was meant to be enjoyed in marriage. What is satisfying, (not "erotic" or "painful") is what God intended sex to be for a husband and wife. Personally as long as it does not go against what God intended for our bodies, or it gives sexual pleasure for a husband and wife, it is ok.

i think it is a sin, but I don´t know why they would say "you are not in God´s eyes any more."
No I wouldn´t agree with that. Sinners are especially in the sight of God.
"The greater the sinner the greater the right he has to My mercy. Let no soul fear to draw near to me even though its sins be as scarlet. My mercy is greater than your sins and those of the entire world."

someone told me that it is so... it is even stated in the bilble in matt 5:28 that when a man looks at a woman lustfully he has already committed adultery.. when a man masterbates, commonly he looks on a women (probably on FHM) lustfully...
so that makes it a sin....
and God is a mercyful God so it doesn't mean that if we sin, we are no longer in the eyes of God. if you ask for forgiveness, God will forgive you.....
and about the oralsex thing,,, maybe it's ok when you're married... there's nothing wrong with sex as long as you are married...

I was once a baiter on a fishing dock when I was a young lad. My job was to put worms on the hooks for the girls who were too squeamish for that sort of thing. When I first started out I was an apprentice baiter and after a few weeks I became a master baiter.

let me answer your question with a question
when you mastubate are your thoughts pure?....if so go hard!!...no pun intended lol.
can you remember the first time you mastubated?..did you know beforehand that it is a sin?...no?...then why did you feel guilty after it? i know i did and i didnt even know it was a sin. my point is i believe mastubation is a normal part of growing up and discovering our bodies as sexual beings.
i see it as one of those "private" sins between you and God... it dont hurt no-one but yourself. personally i think mastubating is making love to yourself and i aint in love with myself...touching myself sexually is my business and my business alone with God....it is the impure thoughts that go along with it that is a sin (can anyone mastubate alone without impure thoughts?...i dont know and i dont care)
your kind of question actually riles me.....why would you ask the public for Gods view on oral sex, fingering and handjobs...are you looking for justification?...well youre not getting it from me...ITS A SIN!...STOP IT!!.
vicar of christ....for real?... i didnt know the Church had that covered as well....
EDIT: ok whos the idiot that reported vicar of christ' answer....sooooo pathetic....truth hurts dont it?

According to God, we are sinners whether or not we masturbate or have oral sex. I agree with God.
As far as oral sex goes, it's SODOMY:
–noun
1. anal or oral copulation with a member of the opposite sex.
2. copulation with a member of the same sex.
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Sodomy
( I put that for all those Christians who go after Gays with legalist renditions of the Bible. lol )
