Something about god writing the book (which he didn't) and god can't lie.

because the Bible IS true. God (who doesn't lie) wrote the Bible (2 Timothy 3:18 NIV, which states, "All Scripture is God-breathed...."). ok maybe He didn't write it physically but He gave the words to men to write them down so that we can know the Truth & know of His love for us. the "stories" in the Bible are real and true and they DID happen. a reason people don't believe in Mother Goose is because she is just a figure that was made up by some childrens author. who has ever felt the presence of Mother Goose? not me. lol. or wat is any of the significant accomplishments of Mother Goose? not any that i know of. my point in all this is that people can believe wat is in the Bible cause it was written by a God who faultless, truthful, loving, dependable, etc. and Mother Goose was written by a human who has a countless amount of faults, who lies, is deceitful, definitely not dependable, and the list could go on forever. this may be a reason why so many people find it easy to believe the "stories" that are written in the Bible.

Mother Goose doesn't promise eternal life. If she did everyone would worship her.

That is your thing that does not change the fact that there is a heaven and there is a hell your choice. Be not deceived God is not mocked whatsoever a man sowth that shall he also reap. God is wonderful why don't you give him a try sometimes. God bless

Because they were told that their god wrote (or inspired) the bible.
Good way to convince some people, I guess.
