I want to use semi-permanent hair dye to dye my hair really dark brown. Right now it's strawberry blond (bleached then dyed red and faded), so it'll probably fade. I've seen people who've dyed their hair brown from blond and it looks greenish. I REALLY do NOT want green hair. I wouldn't mind any other tint, just NOT GREEN. I think it's super ugly. What brand would be the best for dark brown hair that doesn't look green?

Well, the problem is that you have no base to the color anymore, so the color will slip out quicky and it won't turn out like the swatch shows. The odd tints are from that - it takes other colors to build a darker color basically. You need to put a copperish color in your hair first (semi), then use the color you're looking for on top of it - it'll give you an even color that won't fade as quickly.

L'Oreal Creme is the best, I've used it for over 10 years and my hair is still soft
