You do not know my life, either.

I have not lived in a perfect situation. My life does not go my way. I think I often think that God moves when things go well - that is far from the truth. Ask Job.

Is it fair? God is not fair, He is just. Was it fair when my wife was pregnant and we were all excited about it and then miscarried? Was it fair when it happened again less than a year later? Was it fair that I should come from a dysfunctional home of alcoholics? Is it fair that no matter how hard I work, my finances are not where (at least where I think) they should be?

Was it fair to Paul, as he was heading out on mission, got shipwrecked? Is it fair that a young man who loves the Lord should live with Cerebral Palsy? Wouldn't it be great if Joni Ericson Tada was miraculously healed and was able to walk again?

I know that as humans, we tend to think that God is somehow lesser because we are not where we think He should have brought us. Then, when I see people in my congregation who live with MS, RA and other auto-immune diseases, yet continue to worship and serve the Lord, I see where God is so much bigger than our "light and momentary troubles". Paul said, "His grace is sufficient for me."

What can God do for you? First, what is He telling you? Where does He want you to go, or want you to do? Faith without works is dead, right? If you are not walking where the Lord has you to walk, He has nothing to do. If you walk where He has you to walk, then you will see some pretty awesome stuff. Like the Prodigal Son - his father ran up the road to meet him, but he had to get on the road for his father to meet him.

Seek the Lord - seek the Lord - seek the Lord. Listen to what He tells you and write it down. Keep your nose in the Bible and write down whatever the Spirit reveals to you.

I don't have it as bad as you, likely. But, I guarantee that there are those out there who have it worse and don't blame God for doing nothing. They embrace right where God has them and give Him glory and worship Him with what He has given them.

When we seek the Lord, we should not seek according to our own convenience, idealism or plan. We should seek Him because He is our Father and knows all. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight." (Prov. 3:5-6)

You would like to say, "God did this for me." So, now God is to serve you? It is not that He does not do for His children, but our main goal should be what we can do for Him. Our most dangerous prayer is, "Lord, use me."

Yeah, this was a lot.

God is there, and he in authority. He lets everything happen for a reason. If we all had happy, boring lives and nothing bad ever happened, we would never learn from experience. From bad things, good things can happen.

For example, my friend's dad got into a car accident and he passed away a year ago. It was the most tragic thing, and I felt awful for my friend. All I could do was support her and care about her. This death was the first I had experienced of someone I had actually known, and it helped me to realize how much we need God. Only he knows when he's going to take us away. To make a long story short, I can truly say that from that experience, I became much closer to God.

God wants us to be happy, but we live in a sinful world, and therefore sin is all around us. God could change that if he wanted to, but then what would we learn from? What experiences would we go through that would help us grow and become wiser?

I am very sorry that you are going through a tough time in your life, but God is there and he does care. Through the good and the bad, all you have to do is ask him for help. He may not solve your problem, but he has his reasons. He will make you feel more secure, and give you hope for the future and peace. I know that is a few of the things God has done for me, and I couldn't go through life without him.

God bless :)

Even though I have never experienced first hand the awful feeling of God leaving me and letting my life fall into a ditch, I have a friend who has some really painful struggles, and he's really questioning whether or not he was meant to be a Christian.

I don't know why God lets bad things happen, e.g. starving kids in Africa, V-Tech, people going to jail for crimes they did not commit, etc. I often wish he made himself more prominent in our lives too. But he promised that he would never give us more than we can take.

Here's something that I found really useful in feeling God's presence in my life. Whenever I'm just feeling down and lonely, I just pace back and forth in my room and listen to Christian songs on my mp3. Also, in English class, whenever we have to write a subjective essay and talk about some personal experience we've had, I always write about God somewhere in my essay. It helps keep God's presence real to me.

I once got a chance to write about an amazing experience I had on a summer mission trip in 2006 to Mexico. I met a boy from a different church on that trip. We became good friends, and I later learned everything about his home life. He lives in a crime-filled town in an abusive family. I was so shocked. His cheerful, sunny demeanor during the 3 days I had known him exposed nothing about his past life. I almost cried when he said, "I don't want to go home. I have no friends back there. Why would God show me this place where people can love each other, then take it from me a week later?"

I don't think I did a good job answering your question. Maybe you could give us the specifics of what you're going through? Thanks!

God sits and watches the awful things happened bevcause God has given us the latest life guide that is the holy Qur'an.God gives us the free choice whether we would obey or not to the God's instructions and prohibitions as stated in the Qur'an..If we obeyed to all God's instructions and prohibitions means that we select the right or straight way and we would enter heaven with rewards in the life after death. But if we disobeyed it we would be entered into hell and be punished .God created also satans for testing us whether we have a strong faith or a weak faith.Satans will bring us to a bad doings (not obeying the life guide). The strong fairh human can not be tempted by God.God will not show us physically. If we show God physically we will be fainted as spoken in the Qur'an when Moses prophet wanted to see God(Allah)..Good doings should meet the criteria in the God's life guide that is Qur'an..We could not have a bad opinion to God.God is omnipresent and omnipotent. We should thank God if we have good luck and we should be patient if we have bad luck..We should try to make it better may God bless us.

I here what you are saying. It is hard when you are in the middle of struggling to see how God is working but my own life tells me that there will come a time you will be able to stand back and see where He was there working your problems out for you. It takes faith and a willingness to let go of what we think should be happening and let God do it His way. I did this 4 yrs ago and God turned my life around and I am nowhere near the person I was then. I can look back and see He was there and He was working miracles in my life. I know He is doing it for you as well.

Why Does God Permit Wickedness?

If he is all powerful, he could stop it. If he is love, why doesn’t he stop it?

This sounds very simple and straightforward to those who raise the question, Why does God permit wickedness?

But it is not all that simple. Are those who raise the question willing to accept the remedy? Wickedness does not create itself. Wickedness is an effect created by causes. What are the causes? If wickedness is to go, so must its causes.

Who or what causes wickedness? And who or what, therefore, must God eliminate to end his permission of wickedness, as these questioners apparently want him to do?

The matter is not so simple after all, is it? Other questions need our consideration: He permits wickedness, but who practices it? He could stop it, but what if he did? While it continues, what can it teach us? Finally, why does he permit it, and will he ever stop it?

Why He Permits It, How He Will Stop It

LONG ago a blameless and upright man underwent an ordeal he did not understand—loss of property and family, and painful disease. He doubtless felt like many today who, when afflicted, cry out, ‘Why me?’ He blamed God, declaring: “Almighty God has shot me with arrows, and their poison spreads through my body. . . . If only he would go ahead and kill me!” Later he cried out: “Take pity on me! The hand of God has struck me down.”—Job 6:4, 9; 19:21, Today’s English Version.

Faithful Job blamed God. A look into the courts of heaven, however, reveals the culprit. Before an assembly of angels Jehovah called Job to Satan’s attention, saying, “He worships me and is careful not to do anything evil.” Satan snapped back: “Would Job worship you if he got nothing out of it? You have always protected him.” He then added: “But now suppose you take away everything he has—he will curse you to your face!” Also, “Suppose you hurt his body—he will curse you to your face!” This indicates that Satan had previously challenged that God could not have on earth persons who would remain faithful under test. In this instance, Satan claimed he had not been given the opportunity to test Job. So Jehovah said: “All right, he is in your power, but you are not to kill him.”—Job 1:6-11; 2:1-6, TEV.

So it was Satan that afflicted Job, by Jehovah’s permission. Job did not understand this and blamed God, but, nonetheless, kept integrity to him and proved Satan’s challenge false. (Job 2:7; 27:5; 31:6) Faithful persons down through time to our day have done likewise. (Heb. 11:1-39; Rev. 7:9, 10; 14:1, 4) Now, in these last days, the troubles intensify. Revelation 12:12 tells why: “Woe for the earth and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to you, having great anger, knowing he has a short period of time.” It is only Jehovah who can stop this invisible source of wickedness, and he will soon do so.—John 12:31; Rev. 20:1-3.

Sounds to me like you have not found God, yet, and you need to keep searching.
What God did for you is give you a chance at salvation and a chance to be with Him forever. That is what He did for you.
When you find Him, He won't do miracles, but He will take care of you and open doors.

Ok. I know how you feel. We often doubt God, because we wonder where he is in all of our pain and suffering! Well, God is a mysterious God. This is definitely a test of your faith. Keep praying to Him, and ask Him to reveal your purpose in life, and where He wants you to go with your current situation. It will be revealed, even in the oddest of ways.

Do you obey the commandments?
Do you read and STUDY the bible regularly?
Do you tithe?
Are you just someone who turns to God when things get bad?
