I swear i read that it can be done somehow.. So that you could connect it for two player games so one player is on one screen and the other on another. Could sony have done something such as this or is this just a fabrication of my mind... subquestion, if it is.. should i be designing for sony?

In the original PS3 shown for the first time in E3 2005 when it debuted with the banana look-alike controller it had two HDMI outputs for putting 2 HDTVs next to each other for multiplayer or super-wide screen. But after the re-design it was shown in E3 2006 with the re-desined SIXAXIS controller and only one HDMI output.

I'm pretty sure the original prototype (the silver one with the boomerang controllers) had more than one HDMI slot, possibly for that sort of thing. But, it probably would have pushed the price up even more (and you'd need to buy another HD telly!)

I can remember a pic of the old PS2 running Gran Turismo on three tvs, 1 for the front view and then one on each side.
